Okay, this got some juices flowing! Thanks Julie! I wrote middle grade fiction, so of my reader is anything like me, they’ll be kept up by worries about fitting in vs standing out. Hi Julie, first thanks for the shout out - much appreciated. I think you can agree that in real estate we often hear location, location, location...well perhaps in book writing it's the reader, the reader, the reader! In my 3rd book the reader I identified and their issues I thought they were struggling with was - is there a hereafter (issue) and if so, can we communicate or receive messages from beyond the veil. From feedback I received is that the real issue/challenge may have been one of HOPE. Thinking about this further, the real issue may come done to faith. This was a tricky one, but it does show me to always be conscious of my reader and their true needs. I am now writing my 4th and this video, along with the comments from my last book, is causing me to think deeper into what the reader's actual need that is keeping them up at night. Much appreciated.

I have 39 brothers and sisters adopted. I want to write a book how my brothers and sisters dealt with trauma. some became murderers. Others went in the military. I was locked up over 30 times before i changed. Trauma from birth parents and why most of us got took away. Id connect with the reader by showing them its not always sunshine and rainbows. Most cases the trauma is deep and it effects people different ways. Some of my siblings were found in abonded homes alone. My birth sister my mom would tie her in the closet with rope duct tape close hanger around neck and threaten her with knife:/ you can tell the way she acts now it has effected her. Sorry the book gets veryyy deeeeep but its suppused to to spread awareness.

My readers feel guilty about yelling at their kids in the morning when they take forever getting dressed. They feel mom guilt that keeps them awake at night.
