I will never forget the movies for making Ron the comedic relief and erasing all his best qualities or giving them to Hermione.

There's nothing wrong with making some characters a comic relief. I mean, look at Gimli or Pippin in the Lord of the Rings movies. Both funny characters, and yet they are not just comic relief. Gimli is loyal, strong and sweet, and also badass. Pippin is adorable fool who acomplished great things despite being a fool of a Took and grows. Ron is an example of a character who's been made just a comic relief

@@Herr_Schindler How is it not wrong? A lot of movie watchers bash Ron just because of this movie script. They didn't even bother to read the books.

@@congthanhvo4165 I'm not saying there's nothing wrong with making Ron a comic relief character. What I was saying is that he could have been a comic relief but still remain book-accurate like Gimli or Pippin. I do think that Ron in the movies is done dirty

This happened because Hermione was the director's favourite character and he didn't like Ron. As a result he gave Ron's parts to Hermione.

Actually, in the books she is only described as having darker skin when she came back from her trip and had a tan. Other than that, she is described has having pale skin

JK Rowling is full of it, Hermonie was white in the books and she decided later to make her black to gain a even bigger audience. JK played a big part in the first three films and only after she decided to step away from the films and focus strictly on the books. While casting JK could have easily told the casting crew to find a black actress to play the character if this was the case. She described Kingsley Shacklebolt, Angelina Johnson, Lee Jordan and Dean Thoma as all black characters in the books and were black actors and actresses in the films, I am not buying it

Them taking Ron's strength and small smarts sucks, yeah maybe it can miss a few things but taking lines from ron is a whole other thing!

Right? If there excuse is wanting to make it clear that Hermione is the smart one, then why would they take Ron’s lines like “if you want to kill Harry you have to kill us too” and give them to Hermione instead when it’s nothing to do with intelligence. And they just had Ron cowering in the corner, it’s such a huge disservice
