@GeorgeMaj15 Peter Gabriel didn't steal it. The booklet of his CD very clearly lists who actually wrote the song. It is on a CD made up entirely of cover tunes. It isn't his fault if people don't know that he didn't write it. He certainly has never made any claims that he did. And I'm sure Stephin Merritt is getting royalties from it, since he wrote the song.
Hi guys - nice rendition of the song. You may want to note that the original version is by the Magnetic Fields on the 69 Love Sons album. It's much better than the Peter Gabriel version.
