Love these examples. Years ago, I learned to make something similar but I used an envelope for my corner/bookmark. So for the collaged rectangle, Cut out a rectangle on an envelope corner leaving two sides intact. For the diagonal bookmark, cut across the envelope corner on a diagonal shape creating a triangle. Then decorate the front as you did in your video. Or, Cut the rectangle, then across in a diagonal cut on the top layer of the envelope, so the triangle is on the top side and the rectangle on the back side of the bookmark. I hope i explained the process clearly.
@@melindamitchell6584 I agree, I usually just drew a flower on mine then, but these give me ideas of how to embellish envelope markers and make them prettier.
I remember making the envelope book mark corners. Fun and easy. It is a great way to use junk mail envelopes. No need to purchase paper. Just cut off the edges of the envelope. Decorate either before or after. Using the envelopes with windows adds another element. Creative, Fun and Simple. The origami idea is clever.
Hi Natasa ❤️ All of these are so cute, but my favorite is the third one - the origami bookmark/page hugger. It reminds me of those quirky answer question thingy(s ) we made in elementary school. Plus the simplicity of it. It's made from one little square. Quick and easy. Sometimes I'm lazy, but I always like beautiful. :) Thanks for the tutorial.
The last one is my most favourite because it's the easiest to make and it doesn't stick out. Saying that I love them all and I made them all with you. Thank you for this wonderful idea 😀💖
wonderful!love them.all but feel a bit partial.towards the.origami one!My own 2 bits if u dont.mind.... ?... i used to snip.off a large corner of an envelope n.use the resulting triangular cone as a slip.on.bookmark for my books.....reminds of those times !easy to.make,easy.on the eye ..I.love your creations!thank you!
Love em all and sure beat plain envelope corner made for years. If have to choose one it would be three because of versatility working on left and right pages, and can be made anywhere with next to nothing if needed, and works great for regular books. For journals I would make the first two. Thank you kindly for your quick, easy, useful and beautiful creations.
I like all 3! I am going to make them to use in the journal I am making to gift to my niece!! I’m having so much fun! And I have only you to thank!! You have taught me so much and it brings me so much joy to make everything for the junk journal!!!Thank you Natasha! 💝
I'm in favor of simple: the origami style, easier for everyone to do. Another favorite story of mine: years ago, my local library had a bookmark contest for children 12 & under. Several winners, of course; yet the one I thought was best, was one I purchased {the same day} from a 68-year-old woman who crocheted mini dress corner bookmarks. I went back & purchased five more, @$6.00 each. I'm sure, I would've done worse with the thirty-six bucks. She packaged them & I left to go home; & fun was had by all! Very similar to this one! www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZxgpvh
Thanks so much for your great videos, in how you clearly explain & have the guide for us to take a screenshot of too… that’s so helpful and thoughtful ❣️💞🥰
These are less complicated that the page corners. My problem with the page corners is they don’t fit all the way on the page. Don’t know what I’m doing incorrectly?
Love them all, I have bought my eldest grandson a book for his birthday, so I now have something to add to it, thanks so much for your time and inspiration 🇦🇺😻👍🏻
I finally got a sewing machine this Christmas so I'm looking forward to making these. Just got to work out how to thread the darn thing now.I'm a complete novice to using sewing machines. lol
@@sagepreaumx9903 I'll bet if you search RU-vid for your sewing machine model you can find a video. For example, "How do I thread a Singer 2710?". (I just made that up, please don't look for a singer 2710 🤣)
I love sewing and doing collages so this is the perfect craft for me. So my favorite book hugger method is the sewing/collage ones. The one with the lace collage is so cute! Your instructions are very will explained, thank you!
you can actually use the corner of a "junk mail" envelope that is not too thin, and if gluing the embellishments on, you get the full corner to slide onto your page without interference. This is fun
Hi Natasa! So good to hear you again after the Holidays! Missed you. I really, really like all of them; but if I was forced to pick a fave, I might pick #2. I like the idea of 2 different papers and turning them different ways, like the stripes you made. Tough decision! Nice nails😉
Natasha I just want to say that I have recently discovered your RU-vid videos while surfing for hints and tips on journaling...and oh my gosh, I just love all of your videos, I have binge watched most of them, they are very easy to understand, and your work is just gorgeous, thank you so much for taking the time to educate us. Xxx
Love them all the last one I couldn’t recall how-to till you them. The collage ones are different and I really like those,, but I will be making all 3 today to add to my many stash’s lol 😂. Thanks for sharing & Happy New Year in 2021 🥳🎉❣️.
First things first my dear lady... Happy and healthy New Year to you!!! You are precious and these are wonderful and yes ma'am, the collaged one is my favorite. With love from the Southern California desert, MK ❤️🌞🌵
YAY you are back!! Happy New Year! I am so glad you still do 'tutorials'... it's getting harder to find them these days... more commonly people are doing 'craft with me' or flip throughs. You always have a good mix!!! Thank you for all your hard work!!!
Fantastic idea for corners and they can be so beautiful. And that sigh; Your just fine; don't worry. May I say your example book that you pulled out for a moment is pretty nice. The origami, bookmark is super, made one immediately as not to foreget. The origami is my favourite. But I'm trying them all. Great ideas Natasha. Thank you from Canada
Love these corner huggers Natasha! I think the oragami one will be the easiest and quickest one to do and I love that idea! I will be trying them all. Tyfs! Happy New Year to you! Stay safe!
I think they all look very nice! I will have a go and make all three of them and decide which one is my favourite. Have a happy and blessed 2021 and TFS 🤗🦋🌻
Hello. They are all beautiful, but my favorite is the collage one. However I will try to make all of them. I have so much fun watching your video. Thank you! (Gracias)
Hi Natasha , thank you for sharing your processes for making your gorgeous journals. For your second method of corner squares, you can make things easier. If you have two sided paper or book pages, etc., cut your paper 4 x 8 and start by folding in center. You can diagonally fold your front paper either inward or outward. If you use 4 X 8 paper you already have a solid fold on the bottom and don't have to glue the bottom side.
Love these! For the last one, using thinner paper is obviously going to make it easier to fold but then I worry about it tearing. I think I'll just glue a square of thicker paper or cardstock on the back and solve that problem 😉.
I love them all, but if I had to choose I would say the collaged ones are my favorite. Your instructions are always easy to understand and you always make sense. Thank you so much for sharing.
*I want to tell you something very important*, I was not into Journal today, but here in United States America right now is soo tense, so stress, I came to your video and now I feel calmer and good. Merci ! Whenever you feel tired or thinking not sure my video is good, Please remember that someone in the other side of the world loves all this content and loves you. I came to this Country and sometimes I miss home soo much, and I look for videos like yours.
I think there's a place for all three kinds. I like the collage and the second ones the best . BUT I can't wait to try them all. Your instructions always make sense to me. 😊
I love all 3 styles. Have done the origami and used a fancy corner trimmer for the large side but love the embellishment on the folded side. Thank you for sharing them all.
Loved them all, but the first one really spoke to me :) however, instead of making it as a right or left side bookmark, I think I will make a version of your first one, but making the "pocket" on both sides, then it will work on both sides :D Anyways, I really like this type of bookmarks :) I´m a huge reader, and always in need of a bookmark, so this will be a perfect little project for me, and as a bonus, I can gift some of them away 💜 Thank you for sharing! :D 💜💜💜 Oh, btw, your instruction sheets are very (at least I think so) understandable :) and IF anyone doesn´t understand them, you explained every step clearly in an easy, understandable way :) (like all your instructions are!) Have a wonderful day 💜
@@TreasureBooks I´m sure that you had that idea in the back of your head, it might just have been a little shy ;) Thank you for the inspiration :) 💜 I´ve never even thought about creating a bookmark this way, but after seeing it, it makes a lot of sense! and easier to keep track on than the "regular" types (I have a habit on losing them while I read, or, the fall out of the book) the type you showed here, that b-mark is SOLID :D and is easily stored on another page as I read, freaking brilliant :D 💜💜💜 and super cute :)
Ms Natasha.. this corner page huggers /book marks are just beautiful !! I like them all...keep your projects coming to us, I really appreciate all the work that you do, I learned a lot from the segment on tassels, and the one on paper clips enhanced .in fact the clusters made out of small pieces of left over pieces of paper are " ADORABLE" thank you so much for all your you/tube tutorials. Happy new year 2021! Josefina Mccarty
