I really enjoyed this one! It was a fun read and the imagery of the girls was pretty cool!

Totally agree. The imagery of the burning girls was so well done and spooky.

@@violetprynne I just got the chalk man because it’s my favorite color (orange).

I plan on reading this book in October (doing a black and orange stack lol). I think personally toggling back and forth between first person and third person will be a bit jarring for me, but we shall see! Glad you liked it 😀

The perspective switch was really annoying at first, but once I got used to it, I was able to look beyond it.

I read The Chalk Man last year and really liked it. Just finished her second novel, The Taking Of Annie Thorne, which I didn't like as much, gave it 3 stars. I have The Burning Girls, but haven't read it yet. You can tell she is very influenced by Stephen King! IT is my favourite novel too, reread it this year 😊

I have to read her other books ASAP. I hear she has one that's a homage to Pet Sematary, which I'm really interested in.

The one I just read reminded me of Pet Sematary, so that's probably the one you mean. It's got different name in the states I think, I am from UK. I am reading in order so will be reading The Other People next!

I enjoyed this as well. Gave me a bit of Phil Rickman’s merrily Watkins book series vibes. Time for The Chalk Man.

The Chalk Man is also great. It's a little more unsettling and disturbing though.
