I have a fairly large collection of crazy quilt books like these, including all of these. This is a great reminder to take them out and get inspired all over again by the lovely ideas and creativity they hold. Excited right along with you. 🤩🤩🤩

Oh and the idea of you heading off on your cruise with one outfit and suitcase full of slow stitch supplies had me giggling. We took two cars with us on holidays because between the dog supplies and my stitching (plus my op shopping while here), one car is not enough 😂

Thank you Corinne for your beautiful work. Judith Baker Montano in the 1990’s did the most fantastic stitching for projects. The books are “Elegant Stitches” and “Floral Stitches”, not sure if there were others. She made up her own stitches as well so if you love this sort of embroidery then you MUST check them out. I’ve been using these books for years and her projects are gorgeous. She did “eclectic “ or mixed media with fabrics, yarns, beads, buttons etc before it was fashionable. Cheers 🇳🇿😀

I love these books also! You can find them on used book sites too - like world of books or better world books- helps prevent landfill problems and these sites are good at giving back to communities

Thanks so much for the shout out Corrine for my moonlit wildflower garden piece. I actually don’t have any of a Jennifer’s books but they are definitely full of eye candy and also look really practical. I’ve been shopping up a storm at the op shops here on holidays so may have to take a hiatus on other purchases for now haha cheers, Christine

You also might like Judith Baker Montano. Out of Colorado. Taken many of her classes. She has multiple books, but the one I use the most is Embroidery & Crazy Quilt Stitch Tool> she also created her own silk ribbon for crazy quilting.❤

I’m drooling right along with you! I have 2 of the books and I can look at them for hours! I do lots of basic embroidery but still have lots to learn. I am taking a ribbon embroidery class next month. If I live to be 300 years old I could never learn all of the wonderful thing about this craft/hobby!

Have purchased 2 of the 3 books and love them. Will get that last one next month as I am trying to space out the purchases for this hobby! Yikes-I think my hobby is mainly buying the supplies and books as I haven’t even started my volume 3 stitching project with “Roxy’s journal of stitching”! I’m glad I found your channel as it is inspiring and also entertaining!! ❤NJM

Hope you enjoy it! I’m pleased you are joining me at the table!

Haha 😂🤣 laughed so hard about the spiders, mine is the same as yours if a praying mantis or bug with ‘sticky’ feet comes near him, and my three big sons are all frightened of spiders, even the teeny tiny ones. Now, the lollies, they are my drug of choice. Love me a good sugar fix. One day I’ll show you my books, I thought I didn’t need any more, but what did I Know!!! One of Jennifer’s books is on its way to me, (the project book), but then you showed me the other crazy patch one! Have a great day.

Hello Corinne. I live in the USA and recently discovered your channel. I have stitched since I was a very little girl. I studied extensively with Judith Baker Montano who has many publications and is an amazing crazy quilter. I also studied extensively with Gloria Mc Kinnon from Anne’s Glory Box in Australia. Gloria also has many publications. I learned so much from these ladies. I went on to teach in our adult schools. I would like to share that tradition says that a spider on your crazy quilt brings good luck. That is why it appears prominently throughout Jennifer’s books. Thank you for sharing her books, they are gorgeous! I do Brazilian and ribbon embroidery. I love to embellish with beads and these two techniques. I have a question. Have you done a video on a stitched journal? I thought that I saw one somewhere. Is there a video on assembling one? It would be like a collection of stitches in “book” form. Your stitchery is beautiful and I enjoy hearing your composition explanations. Many people do not understand color theory or composition of fabrics, laces, threads, ribbons etc. Right now I am going through some health issues and your videos are a welcome distraction. Thank you for sharing your talents. Sharon

I'm sorry but I did what you did and purchased the book. I have tried a few of her directions and have had trouble. I wasn't sure if it was me or the book. I watched your video to find out if it was a book to purchase or not as that is what I thought a book review was. I did notice that there was a couple of motifs with missing info.

Do you watch Jennifer Clouston herself.. as she is on ytube…that may help you. I find the books a great resource.

@@tobelovedtreasuresbycorrine I don’t always have access to the internet, which is why I purchased a book. All errors in the book should have been corrected and all omissions fixed. Why buy a book if you have to go somewhere else to figure it out?
