I went looking for a review of this book as I just finished it in one sitting. I could not put it down. I loved the setting of a cul-de-sac where you just don't know quite everything about your neighbors. I also thought the characters were so believable. Every time Ethan heard a "ping" on his phone and could barely open his eyes to look at what the camera captured, I felt such fear! I loved your review and am so glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. Thank you for sharing. Elizabeth

I hesitated watching as I am about 150 pgs from the end. Riley has become a favorite of mine since i read The Only One Left last year. I love that I never really figure it out because of the twists. I am loving it so far and can't wait to finish .

The Only One Left was SOOOOO good! I absolutely adored this one too. He's such a clever author.

Hi Violet, Great review. I got the book, four days ago and read it immediately (in one seat). Riley Sager is one of my favorite thriller writer and I love all of his books. It amazed me (without you knowing), how you succeed to reflect my thought about this book so perfectly .......For that, BRAVO! My favorite books: The Last Time I Lied, Lock Every Door, Home Before Dark and Middle of the Night.

I NEED to read Lock Every Door. I haven't yet and I can't believe I haven't. Will definitely be getting to it sometime this year!

I really want to read it. Seems like a nice summer thriller but in Norway I guess I have to wait longer before I can get my hands on the new books.

I loved this so much. I didn’t have a clue about the twist either. I think this is my favorite of his so far. At one point I laughed out loud, and the next I was crying. I loved everything about this book. It can’t get any better than this. Definitely there were supernatural elements. For sure.

I have that shirt too! Mine is probably older than you though....

It's such a great shirt. I found it in a comic book shop years ago and had to buy it because it has not only such a famous line on it from Sandman, but My Chemical Romance quote it on their second album (and they're my favorite band).

I'm hoping I like this better than Sager's last book; that last one really didn't work for me surprisingly. I'll be picking it up once I finish The Midnight Feast by Lucy Foley (not sure yet that I'd recommend it, I'm only halfway through).

I definitely think Middle of the Night is one of his best so far, but I also really enjoyed The Only One Left. Hopefully this one works for you! The twist was fantastic.

I am in the middle of this one right now ☺️ Darn, I was hoping it was finally gonna be supernatural 😕

It's definitely not supernatural the way that House Across the Lake was. That one really surprised me because I'm so used to his books having logical explanations.
