I totally get attached to the copies I read too! Even if I end up buying a special edition later, I have a hard time letting go of the cheap paperback version that I read first. :)
John Greens new book is incredible, I listened to the audiobook (it’s narrated by John) and it was amazing, made me laugh, cry, and feel all the things
You should look into his podcast! The anthropocene reviewed was a podcast first and it’s on Spotify or if you want something a bit more light hearted you should totally check out Dear Hank and John :) (however you are on a book tube Chanel so you might already know all these things)
@@kv2661 I love Dear Hank and John!! I haven’t explored The Anthropocene Reviewed podcast yet but it is in my library to hopefully get to some day! Thank you!!
me too!! i’m not a nonfiction person but hearing him tell his own stories/experiences was amazing. the charter with the black and white movie broke my heart
9:00 I love that the notebooks are on the shelf, not just in a box, your thoughts and experience are just as important as the books on the shelf, if not more because of how personal they are to you
I totally get what you're saying about how the physical book you read is special, it's why I like buying books instead of borrowing from the library. What if I end up loving the book? I want to keep the version I read rather than go buy it after I've read it
End of Days!!!! Oh my goodness Christine. You definitely need to finish that series. Sooooo good! Now I want to re-read them. Thanks for the reminder for this great series!
For the trials of Apollo series, you Don't need to remember everything from the two series before it. It helps, but isn’t really necessary And clap when you land is in fact quite good
Christine, I’m going to do my best to convince you to pick up A Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue. It’s about a young British lord named Monty who goes on a grand tour of Europe before taking up adult responsibilities from his father. While on the way, he gets caught up in magical crazy adventures with his best friend named Percy who he’s in love with. It has romance, magic, and a complicated brother and sister relationship. It would also be fine picking up the audiobook because it’s fantastic!
I use an adhesive remover to get rid of the leftover glue. I will test it on a small spot first sometimes. I'll put a little dab on a paper towel, and use soft, gentle strokes.
Absolutely love Sandhya Menon’s books! Also Imagine Me is the last full novel in the Shatter Me series and Tahereh is coming out with a novella later this year or next and I believe that will tie up everything! Lovely video!! 💕
Haven’t been on booktube in FOREVER and I randomly remembered you one day and now I see that you’ve published not one but two!! Books!! Immediately purchased them on Amazon,, beyond excited to start reading !
Christiiiiiine you should make memberships on your channel!! You don’t even have to post anything special for members haha I’d still love to support you a bit for being my favourite RU-vidr for like 5 years now!! I’d love a new apartment tour when you’re ready because your tours are the best things ever hahaha
It's so awesome to watch you actually admit that you won't get to it & donate it. Like I don't think I'd do that & just keep hoarding my books. But I really love how you are decisive about donating them!! Love your energy too
Girl please please please read a darker shade of magic!! I honestly really liked the first two books but wasn’t obsessed and then the third book came and IT WAS AMAZING it’s now my comfort book
Truly, just dive into the trails of Apollo. They are SO GOOD, like wildly good (especially the last one). Literally just google any questions you end up having about the previous books 😂
Christine, you HAVE to read Bridge of Clay at some point in the future!! I would honestly say it’s more beautiful and heartbreaking than the Book Thief, and will defend that opinion until I die
Sleeping Giants is amazing but yes definitely go the audiobook route with that one. I spent the months leading up to my daughters birth hunting down all my favorite kids books. I have also spent a long time hunting down the exact edition of Matilda and the complete works of Plato because they were the versions I read then lost when I was younger. Absolutely 100% agree with the time distortion over the last few years, for me 2021 seems to be flying by while 2020 lasted a million years and stuff that happened in 2019 seems like months ago. Good luck with the move
Wow I use to watch you non stop about 7/8 years ago when I was a book obsessed 13 year old and now your video just got suggested to me and you have your own book!! I am not much into reading anymore but maybe I should read yours
it's strange that you can make an unhaul so aesthetic but i love it. just saw your tiktok with your rainbow bookshelf in the new apartment and it's always so so beautiful!!!!!!
What I use for getting sticky residue off books (and the stickers too) is Varsol, the paint thinner. It works really well, but you need to do it in either a well ventilated space or outside. But it really clears off residue!
OMG yesss! You need to read the grace year I’m like obsessed with it I tell people about it all the time I’m constantly recommending it cause it’s just so great
I get attached to copies I’ve read but a large reason for that is because I fill it up with those sticky color bookmarks that mark all my favorite parts! 😂
After watching your BEAUTIFUL shelves, I decided to build my own and am buying physical copies of the books I read on audio. Would you recommend getting hardcovers or paperbacks? And if hardcovers, where can I buy them cheaper?
When you were saying 'read', I actually thought you were saying red and describing the colours of the books. Only realised it when you got to the orange books 🤣
This was so entertaining! I had alll the nostalgia as you talked about Gayle Foreman and the "When your favorite author has a new book" video! I hope your move went well 💛
Glad to see I'm not the only one way behind on my TBR list lol. Strange the Dreamer is an awesome book. If you do get to it you will probably love it. Save the Cat is a great book as well but for different reasons :)
@@zukihoney135 what ones did she delete? There's still some on there, also she liked his IG post a few days ago... I wish her all the happiness in the world, but if they broke up, I'm sad because her bf seems so much like my husband and I can't imagine splitting up😢 I hope she's doing well
Christina, I was just going to ask you for a book shelf tour. Just kidding I remembered in a video you did years ago you seemed to not like it. In that video I remember you were frustrated with the Seriies of Riley and her sister I can’t remember the series but it was By Allison Noel? They had gotten in a car accident I think In the first book? When you get settled, and have time, please give a review on Midnight Sun? What were your thoughts, etc. I knew how excited you were 5 years ago when the anniversary edition came out? 5 or 6 years? I understand if you haven’t finished it, I haven’t either, I’m just savoring every page. Congrats on your new book! Im sure you are very busy.
I just started re reading the angelfall series please finish or do a reread video series. Please I have been around from when you did these booktalks back in the day. It would be cool to see your thoughts so many years later.
I've read the invisible life of addie La rue, and want to read more of v.e. Schwab. I'm kind of confused about book series, and order of books. Any recommendations for her adult fiction?
