Sad to hear you’re unhauling a discovery of witches I loved that series! First book is a bit slow but it’s a great story, I actually thought the second was great as there’s a lot of history elements woven in and well thought out world building. But not for everyone! That’s the joy of watching everyone’s thoughts on things ☺️

The author of Scythe also wrote Unwind and I agree he isn’t a logical person and I think writes for pre teens who won’t question things like adults do lol
yes exactly... I read the synopsis for unwind, and it seemed the same. I feel like a lot of it is also just laziness... he wants to write something so he does... but doesnt feel like explaining it.
It sounds like self help isn’t for you but I just wanted to say that A New Earth is one of the least woowoo self help books. It’s actually all about the mind and ego and how to become free of negative thinking and how you aren’t your thoughts. The subtitle doesn’t really indicate that but it’s one of the most transformative books I’ve ever read. But if you don’t feel the need for that kind of info, then I could see how it wouldn’t be for you. They say you either read it and are transformed or don’t get it at all, just depends on the person and when they read it.
