You will notice at the beginning I correctly refer to this release at the Reserves. Then, for some reason, I start calling it the Infinite. I am not sure why I made this mistake, but I wanted to clear up any confusion. This is a review and comparison for the Booker's the Reserves. Aged for 8 years, 2 months, and 12 days, and bottled at 127.8 proof. Cheers buddies thanks for watching 🥃
It's funny you did this, I tasted the Reserves against my OGD 114 and a Knob Select. For me, the Reserves came out on top, but not by a lot. I would say the Knob Select was very close, but I still prefer the Reserves.
I do like the Reserves and will probably buy it, but it does drink like a special bookers and maybe not like extra special whiskey. Curious what you think if you try it. Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
This is great. I did a similar blind recently. Bookers (Mighty Fine) KC SiB, OGD 114, Bakers 7 SiB. Finished in that order for me, but honestly they were pretty close for my unrefined pallet.
Drinking Buddy... have you reviewed the Bakers 7? What about the new Jimmy Been Black 7? ... I have both bottles... I'm in the BTAC 90 proof mode... As soon as the temperatures drop more in winter I'll be in the Rare Breed and anything that compete with that at high proof
I have reviewed both over the years. I really like both, especially the Jb7 for the price! I find that I still reach for barrel proofs even when it is 120 out lol, am i broken? Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
Not tasting them a equivalents other than a few of the quintessential Beam notes. 114 is a vg full flavored Beam that makes a good mixed drink. The Reserves should be compared to anyone's favorite Bookers or 120 pks! Truly nice Bookers and competitive at that level with other Beam bottles
I am an idiot. Not quite sure how I kept saying it. 🤦 Beam got me by releasing them the same week. Also, thanks for the Bardstown batch to compare. I still need to do the bookers flught with one from each year 21-24. Cheers buddy thanks for watching 🥃
