Bottom line is Enzo and Cass were great TOGETHER. they couldnt stand alone. They both failed without one another. Cass had no charisma without Enzo, Enzo had no muscle without Cass. Once they were split up they both grew stale very fast
Even if they stayed together, they were a 1-trick pony. The gimmick wouldn't have lasted a year. Especially since neither of them could wrestle worth a shit. Botched matches will send you out of WWE really quick
Cass would do great on his own, but I think what you’re trying to get at, is that Enzo wouldn’t do good without Cass. You’re completely right, like someone like Brock Lesnar, Cass’ mic skills are a 2020 Brock where he won’t talk at all just fight. But I believe Cass could have had an amazing title run with something like the US championship
Booker was a very underrated talent, especially a a heel. He could do everything in the ring and hand an unorthodox style. He had great pacing, timing and facial expressions to tell the story. Booker definitely is one of my favorites looking back now.
And people in 2018 need to fuckin grow a pair and accept what people say and accept that people do that. Then again with how people act i don't really blame said people for telling all about themselves. Someones going to ask you at some point. Trust me.
I think I got what he was trying to say, Big Cass ultimate problem was that he was letting his problems/ego bleed into his performance/work ethic and ultimately failed as a performer. If he'd have done better at the business end it wouldn't have mattered if nobody liked him. At least that's what I got from this and it made sense. I like Booker. He repeats himself a bit, but he speaks from the heart without a filter.
It's not even his fault that no one likes him. When you're having him going ONLY against guys who are like half his size and personality, of course he's not going to get over.
Booker T, hearing you talk about how focused and professional you were, makes it harder to deal with the fact that Triple H refused to put you over. In spite of that you were over in WCW and eventually got your shot. I really admire you more now. God Bless
Everyone knows about Triple H and his racist background. To this day he still hates on The Rock, but can't do shit about it. When Rock hosted SNL the shit Triple H said on the show was him legitimately hating on The Rock hosting it.
Omg calm down HHH was not the only one who decided not to put Booker over in 2003. Wanting to keep the belt around his belt until Goldberg could take it off of him had a lot to do with it too.
Linda McMahon works for Donald Trump as his small business administrator, Trump is in the WWE hall of fame thanks to his friendship with the McMahon family. The whole McMahon family (Vince, Linda, Shane, Stephanie, HHH, and the grandchildren) publicly released a photo of themselves with Trump in the oval office. Politics had nothing to do with the release of Cass, according to Cass himself it was due to his alcohol abuse.

For those too dense to understand, Booker basically said Cass was being pushed as a top guy but didn't have the focus necessary to be at that level. His ring work just wasn't good enough to make up for behavior. I was enjoying his heel turn but I never felt his matches were anything special. I feel like he was going to end up being another Billy Gunn.
Nah Billy Gunn was a better wrestler and was better on the mic what did him in and kept him from winning the WWF title was The Rock burying him in that Billy talks to God promo on Raw during his main event push. Jim Ross and a few others that worked backstage admitted that killed any chance of him winning the title and Vince pulled the plug on his push after.
I agree with everything but the Billy Gunn statement. You couldn't be more wrong for so many reasons, Billy Gunn being from the greatest era of professional wrestling had a far far longer run not to mention DX, New Age Outlaws, and his TNA time and he is still involved today so please reconsider that statement!
I couldn't agree with Booker more. I don't care about your personal life or political views. Just entertain me... Austin has a long history of domestic violence. He kept that stuff quiet for the most part... The slightest disagreement or disappointment with your fan base could destroy your career. Stop trying to tell everyone, everything. Focus on performing.
I see and agree with your point, but there is a *big* difference between vocally supporting a political candidate and beating the shit out of your spouse.
Rippingthosecheeks Hey ... Care to provide evidence supporting that claim? Actually, nevermind. Let me provide evidence supporting mine: www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/celebrity/wrestler-steve-austin-taps-out-wife-assault He plead no contest to a misdemeanour charge of assault for striking his wife. If that isn't the definition of domestic abuse, I don't know what is.
Religious Beliefs, Politics,Luck, And Racism Have No Business In The Workplace. Because neither one of those mitigating factors never paid a bill in anyone's life so Booker to you right
Not really..I wore my cross necklace to work. And a coworker asked if I was catholic. I said no. I'm a Christian. We became friends that we had in common. If you're on your break and you are reading the bible to yourself. People need to ignore it. That's the problem now, no one wants to mind their buisness.
Spacesharks40k Supporting the president did not get Big Cass in trouble. Booker is saying Big Cass needed to apply himself more in the business. Perfect the craft.
whats got me twisted is the fact if you speak out and support THE PRESIDENT you can get fired. as for religion and politics at work museums are allowed to kneel on a mat and bow their heads at certain times during the day on their shift as part of their religion....as idubs would say either all of its okay or none of it is get your shit together if anyone pulled this shit for obama they would have been labeled a racist. its shit like this that killing the country its becoming more and more taboo to support your country.
For anyone saying Booker was rambling smh his point was it really doesn't matter what you do in the locker room to a point as long as you are doing your job at a high level you wont loose your job and remain focus. Ex shawn Michaels
Nope. It's because Shawn Michaels and Triple H are friends in real life, and if you want to cause a family rift, firing your son-in-law's best friend makes Thanksgiving and Christmas a little bit awkward.
Okay for those that do not speak booker t. He is citing Big cass work ethic, he also spoke about him being very opinionated about things that people didn’t want to discuss. He also said that there was a problem about cass not being focused and letting a relationship derail his plans (Carmella).
Really he was like just a boring tall guy he looked like he just didnt k ow how to wrestle .....if u compare him to kevin nash youll see the difference nuff said.....
Booker is a good dude ..,he's seen both sides of the fence ..he's spent time behind bars and he's reached the pinnacle of pro wrestling with millions cheering him on ...he's street smart but like most people who have come from the bottom and reached the top he's genuine and has good values ...even though I was a hard-core wwf fan I would watch wcw just to watch Harlem heat and then bookers single run even got myself those bad ass Reebok gloves to do the 5 times
John chris Fuck Roman , fuck cena , Top Dogs In The WWE (NOT IN ORDER) BRAUN STROWMAN BROCK LESNAR BOBBY LASHLEY (Black lesnar) SAMOA JOE (Needs a push) MY BEEF W/ WWE IS THAT IT MAKES BOBBY LOOKS NOT AS STRONG , MORE WEAK THAN TOUGH , HE NEEDS TO BE BUCKWILD & WHOOP MANY NIGGAZZ ASS IN THE WWE LIKE BACK IN THE ECW DAYZ & BATISTA NEEDS TO RETURN
Nathan Cifuentes I agree muh niggah. WWE playin dat shady bizniss with their supahstahs, so many niggahs dat deserve uh push. Samoa Joe be dat top niggah and the WWE be holding my niggah back.
khris Bonilla Nah it ain't a great point. Cena said on multiple occasions you have to be willing to put your career on the line if you have an idea, CM Punk said the same thing. Vince himself has said that they need more up and comers to "grab the brass ring". Unless you are handpicked like Roman, just doing your job will never be enough.
John chris Quit using that “WWE will use Cena to bury careers” its not 2012 anymore. Cena hasn’t even been booked in a big match feel since his feud with Styles. He hasn’t even been around to beat a lot of guys. He’s been actually putting on phenomenal matches with guys like Seth and AJ. Hell he just got squashed in under 3 mins by Taker at Mania. That statement isn’t even relevant anymore.
John chris Oooooh is someone salty that they're garbage wrestlers they like don't get any spotlight or get owned by said wrestlers :D I think so.... Go put that salt back in the ocean. The fish miss it.
Booker T is my all-time favorite wrestler. The key to having success as a wrestler is all about charisma and personality. All the muscles in the world aren't going to make you a star.
I agree. You never ever leave your door open when it comes to your personal life. There's a fine line between speaking your mind & exposing yourself. People feel they have to ALWAYS voice their opinion. In reality there's some things you don't need to just speak your mind over everything. Biting your tongue sometimes is not a coward thing to do...its a smart thing to do.
Filmation77 everybody in the WWE is restricted. Cole on RAW is cringy because he has McMahon in the back in his ear telling him what to do. The... I think it was UK tournament he did, he didn't have that & Cole was phenomenal. I can imagine the same goes with Graves, Booker.. idk what Coach's problem is... but yeah they're told what to say & restricted just like the talent on their promos.
I heard from other interviews that once he and Carmella split he started drinking a lot and one day he got drunk on the tour bus and got into it with Roman. After that he was handed his release papers
Damn! Booker talks that real! Honestly I heard Big Cass got mildly physical in a way with Carmella in public and other wrestlers had to stop him and that's what led to his release and WWE not saying "Future Endeavores "
Booker is extremely intelligent and I love everything he is saying here. My only issue is people that are super vocal about their liberal political views never get fired. It’s freedom of speech when they speak out. Anyone who is conservative and open about it gets fired. I just wish there wasn’t a double standard.
No, he isn’t. Kaepernick had several chances to get back on the field, but he was more interested in playing activist than he was in playing football. His ridiculous demands, and refusal to even show up to a tryout, is why he never got hired.
@babymylo4909 it's pretty much only one sided with regular people. The door does swing both ways with high ranking/public figures because it does become a distraction.
Booker t is right. You keep your beliefs and opions to yourself. Especially in current society. Everythings seems to be a lightning rod. Do not potentially sink your career by voicing your opinion.
Rondell Schuyler yea but isn't interesting that when people support trump they're fired , shows are cancelled, and is vilified. Yet it's ok for cbs to air constant attacks on the president through Colbert and that fat fuck star search wannabe do it nightly. politics have owned late for a couple years now . If I had a nickel for every foul thing Colbert has said about trump I'd be a fuckn millionaire. It's not ok because you don't like someone. A big double standard and no he's not entitled to it .
Ronnie Eubanks that's because showing support to a president that is a known racist, misogynist and homophobe will get you fired/screwed over nowadays, especially when you're on the entertainment industry.
Sasha C. Racist and homophobic? 😂 wow . you're reaching. The reason is like I said, these stations push a political agenda everyday. if you vote trump or support him you're an enemy automatically.
Ronnie Eubanks yeah and you're probably a racist and homophobe yourself since you think I'm reaching so much with what I said. At the end of the day, what I say hold true. If that wasn't the case, people like Roseanne and Big cass wouldn't get fired for their extreme support on trump. So it is what it is. :)
Sasha C. You're proving my point Sasha . Now you're saying I'm a racist and homophobic because I don't agree with you . Grow up I'm neither! The only thing you're right on is "it is what is ". There's no reasonable discussion here from you because you attack me and slander who I am because I have a different view . How does it feel driving on that double standard one lane you're in . 👍
From what I read, what actually got Big Cass fired was the fact he was getting drunk in public making WWE look bad and pissing off Vince by not doing what he's told and anyone knows if you piss off Vince, that's all it takes.
I've met Booker and like him very much.. As for Cass and his views on the president...does the host realize that the owners wife is part of Trumps cabinet? If wrestlers have a problem with Cass for voting for him, why would they be hypocrites and work for WWE?
KTtraintowin THANK YOU! I just feel some are trying to play the "hate Trump card", but with Linda in his cabinet, that shit just doesn't make sense when you really look at it.
KTtraintowin Vince likes Trump, Trump is a WWE hall of famer but Vince knows politics (hard politics) is bad for any business. AJ Styles is a conservative but I doubt he was yelling Lock her Up in the locker room lol.
I agree. Vince and Linda are good friends with POTUS, so that reason is specious. Cass just isn't that good. Supporting your country's leader sure wouldn't be reason to fire someone and if it is, then WWE shouldn't bother showing up in any state that went red.
Because Vince PAYS them. Cass didn't. Follow the money. You think everyone who works for monsanto is in complete favor with their policies? You think every guy who works for Trump actually likes working for him? But it's what pays the bills. Your comment about hypocrisy makes no sense. Everyone needs to pick a battle, and they choose that which they can fight. That Cass just plain sucked as an entertainer also didn't help his case.
Wow, didnt know he had a thing like this going on. He nailed it!! Now im going to go watch the "HULK HOGAN WE COMIN' FOR YOU" video for the 9,273,083,112th time!! Priceless, you really gotta love this guy!
I actually met Booker T years back. He's an awesome down to earth guy that really opens your eyes alot of issues and behind the scenes about wrestling. Well put Booker I couldn't agree with this more. Being a foreman at the job, the guys try to bait me with politics, religion and even sex talks. With my own opinions I have to avoid all that because it will create a hostile work environment.
Booker T aka King Booker aka Rob Tio Huffman is one of *the* *SMARTEST* people in the wrestling industry. Not the smartest, but he's up there amongst the intelligent folks like Matt Striker, Glenn Jacobs aka Kane, Jack Swagger, Paul Heyman, CM Punk, and obviously Vince McMahon. Booker is way smarter than he appears at first glance, and to the average fan who only knows him by elements such as his "Can you dig it, Sucka?" theme song/catchphrase, he might appear as some average intelligence fellow - when, in fact, he is much more.
So the problem wasn't his views rather that he spoke out too much "on the job", which was unnecessary. So Booker T does have a valid point. Save the believes for your personal life and not around your career workings.
Booker T had some really really great advice for young men and young women out there looking to make it. Listen to his wise words and take it to heart. Booker T is a wise man
BIG GASS and little enzo were trouble from the start of NXT. Not to mention their first ppv, it was BOCTHED. The only good thing to come out of that faction was the beautiful sexy Carmella.
Regardless of his backstage attitude the guy went off script which is a huge no no and he also stepped on the midgets neck when he wasn't instructed to.
Why do they keep saying that Big Cass got fired for supporting Trump? Vince's wife WORKS for Trump. It's a bullshit rumor. I think it's for something else. I just think he was released because he wasn't selling, and was too much associated with Enzo. They were still chanting 'Enzo Amore' during his promos and matches; something WWE can't have right now. Right or wrong.
No one is saying he got fired for liking Trump (or people shouldn't be saying that, at least). They probably just don't want politics to be talked about in the lockeroom in general. And, most likely, it was probably a list of things that led to his firing.
Because he brought up his political beliefs ON THE JOB Growing up I was always taught that there are two things you don't talk about on the job: RELIGION, AND POLITICS. Bringing up those subjects in the workplace have ALWAYS been looked at as a huge nono
Booker has valid points on how to work within the system of sports entertainment a.k.a. Pro Wrestling. Bill Morrissey f.k.a. Big Cass needed to learn the business more. So in a sense, listen to the veterans and you will thrive.
Social media has unfortunately given a voice to many who can’t handle it. You have to be able to, not suppress, but control your mouth, your thoughts and control your feelings in person and on social media.
