I feel like Chelsea’s gonna go out of the big 6 when u look at their ownership which has been horrible and also their preseason and that they sacked poch
It's great having Aston Villa/Newcastle up there challenging the "Rich 6" ,for the last decade we've had too endure the same predictable top 6 & European qualifiers media darlings getting all the attention & it gets boring. The more clubs other than the so called Big 6 doing well making things Abit more interesting the better & I hope at least the fore mentioned clubs can keep challenging & shaking up the status quo . Good luck! 😊
@amlmorris u call them the rich 6 but they only have the money they have because of the previous success and if u were to say the rich 6 u should at least put Newcastle in there have u seen their owners?
100% agree with you about seeing "so called mid table clubs" like Villa, Newcastle, Brighton, West Ham etc really starting to disrupt the previous decades long strangle-hold of the "so called big six clubs" over the last few seasons we are seeing clubs like Newcastle and Villa seriously challenging for the champions league places. Whereas clubs like Chelsea are having to rebuild which is having an impact on their league results, then there is Liverpool who are having to get used to a new coach after many years of security under klopp!! It's great that we're seeing other clubs starting to challenge now.
If Newcastle can retain their star players and reduce the crippling injuries of last season they will do well even without further signings. Don’t forget, they also have a hungry Tonali to add to the team.
No one seems to realise (apart from the bookies perhaps!) just how bad Brentford's injury crisis was last season. Once we had Pinnock and Mbeumo and others back we survived pretty comfortably in the end. Typically our new star striker just injured himself 30mins into his debut (after scoring twice) and is out now until the end of the year, so perhaps the curse continues... but all things considered I think 13th sounds bang on
One of the interesting stories of the summer for me is the Everton ownership suspense. 777 Partners out of Miami were supposed to take over but that’s no longer the case. Based their ownership of other clubs that’s probably a good thing. News trickles out of Europe into America where I have to look under rocks to find it. When I read about Everton’s Dilemma my head spins. I’m not even an Everton fan. I think that could be an interesting story as the season gets started. Having supported teams and clubs with dodgy owners I feel Everton supporters pain. I which them the best of luck. I thought the same about Wolves last year and they had a pretty good start to their season Can’t wait for the games to start and your weekly prediction videos.
If Wolves can land a decent Centreback (they're currently on it) I see no reason why we don't finish above West Ham, Palace, Brentford (I'm not aware of Brightons buying so will go on ours) and challenge Brighton, Newcastle and Bournemouth. We're used to being underestimated so its all good, but if RAN stays I think we're potentially 8-10th. Bookies hugely underestimating Viiiieeeellllaa in my book.
@@LuisSilva-rr9dh Thank you, I believe moreso this season than ever before (barring last season when pundits arrogance ran away with them) and we looked to be in first a tough(ish) time
I would like to agree with you - but against Vallecano we looked pretty toothless again. Yet to be convinced by S-Larsen and without Cunha we looked pretty devoid of ideas. Neto gone now too - Fosun must back GO’N strongly with the proceeds of that and Kilman’s sales if we are to climb the table as you suggest. CB definitely like you say but also another creative forward player needed. Dont think Podence will stay and I dont rate Guedes that much - do you ?
Sophie this is the premier league predictions I am going with 1 Arsenal 2 Manchester City 3 Liverpool 4 Aston Villa 5 Chelsea 6 Newcastle United 7 Tottenham Hotspur 8 Manchester United 9 Crystal Palace 10 West Ham 11 Brighton 12 AFC Bournemouth 13 Wolves 14 Fulham 15 Nottingham Forest 16 Everton 17 Ipswich Town 18 Brentford 19 Southampton 20 Leicester City
1. Manchester City 2. Liverpool 3. Arsenal 4. Newcastle United 5. Wolverhampton Wanderers 6. Fulham 7. Spurs 8. West Ham United 9. Crystal Palace 10. Aston Villa 11. AFC Bournemouth 12. Brighton 13. Chelsea 14. Brentford 15. Leicester City 16. Manchester United 17. Southampton 18. Ipswich Town 19. Everton 20. Nottingham Forest
I also think that one of the newly promoted teams will stay up, and it will be Ipswich as they've done the best business. Third team to get relegated will be Fulham I think. They don't look nearly as strong this time. Everton and Wolves could be in trouble too as they don't score many goals. If Brentford can keep their forward line of Toney, Mbuemo and Wissa they should be more than okay.
@antelyttbacka what like last time? In my opinion, your teams weaker this time around and with a points deduction, can't see you getting off the bottom
They are simply predicting what people will be betting on for top 4 and while you and others may believe they will be top 4 the question is are you betting on it?
Agree, defense stabilised & strenghtened, goalkeeper sorted, we kept Murillo, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi & Elanga and added some attacking options. We need another striker and we will get one before Aug 31st. Clear of FFP (PSR) this year so no poonts deduction. Forest will be 12-14 this year mark my words...
@@tm2204 absolutely, Nuno with a full preseason, a fully fit squad, added some decent players to give us depth, no points deduction, 3ed season in the league & kept all of our key players, it’s a great mix for a successful season 🤞🏻
I am an Ipswich fan and have no idea if we will stay up or not. Last time we were in this position and favourites for relegation, we finished fifth. I am more confident about Coventry. I am one of those who think you will at least make the playoffs
Forest fan here (think this channel is our second home!). Agree with your Forest comments. We're in better shape right now than in the previous pre seasons. We've had a decent transfer window with some quality additions, new Portuguese winger/striker just confirmed, a couple more names to be secured. Murillo staying put for now..... If we don't finish higher than 17th I'll be very surprised. A word of support for our old mate Stevie Cooper at Leicester. I suspect he'll find it harder to keep them up than it was to keep Forest up first time around, they really need some investment. I sincerely wish him well, quality bloke!
@@tomnevey5910 have a look now, obvioulsy the last week has had a lot of bearing on this comment, so now 8 new signings 6 first team new starters with one more to come - 2 new better defenders.... West Ham already look much stronger than last season. with these new signings they now look like top 6 or 7 contenders! COYI `X`
As a Chelsea fan, we've had a horrible transfer window... and a rubbish pre-season tour of the US. Too many new players in (yet again), Gallagher out. Our defence is hopeless and who knows which Keeper the new manager will go with. It's going to take us half the season to settle down and for him to find his first team. 6th at best for Chelsea. At very best. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it's lower than that.
After two phenomenal seasons, the challenge for Ipswich will be how to recover after defeats, which they are not used too 😀. As a 🚜 boy, I don’t mine that the bookies have us as relegation fodder. Rather be an underdog this season and prove them wrong.
Most people will say Manchester City will win the Premier League but I have a feeling that Arsenal are favourites to win the Premier League. And Ipswich Town, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest to get relegated.
It would be nice to be smacked with the points deduction now. Rather than later. It is probably going to be some 12 points. Now have to plot a course for 52 points. Unlikely, but would be nice. Perhaps the listless term 2 seasons ago will spark them on. They certainly responded in the Championship with the needed enthusiasm.
I think Everton are going to finish slightly higher than last season with them being my club, I also think we have brought in some exciting young players like Iliman Ndiaye, Tim Iroegbunam, Jake O'brien and Jesper Lindstrum who I think can really boost are chances this year. Considering other teams, I agree with Matt that Arsenal will escape with the title by the skin of their teeth and City, Liverpool and Chelsea behind respectively.
They making Nottingham Forest the new Southampton, always in the relegation battles and surviving year after after year. I think the first 3 games are crucial, and if they win all 3, they'd have not only be in the top 2-3 if not first, but a huge motivation lesson for them which would have them finish way higher than this.
We did just lose Pascal Gross to Dortmund, 9th is still probably the most accurate, but I could see us moving either way of that mark, thinking we could push up, but I could just be delusional 😂.
Decline? Not lost anyone and even if Toney goes so what, he barely made a contribution last season. On the other hand last season was appalling for them injury wise but many were coming back into contention as the season finished with them losing only 2 of their last 9. They finished 13 points clear of bottom 3. They also scored more than any other team outside the top half but were let down by a poor defensive record, hardly surprising as they played most of the season with only 1 of their first choice back 4 and were bedding in a new goalkeeper. 13th is about right, this is largely the same squad that achieved 9th the season before.
The bookies have to cover the biggest teams by giving where the money goes as lower odds, imo united liverpool and chelsea will all finish below newcatstle spurs and villa, but the money aint going there hence the modified odds. Also make a transfer video that sounds like fun
Finally feels like the season is close now prem predictions 1 Manchester City 2 Arsenal 3 Liverpool 4 Chelsea 5 Newcastle United 6 Aston Villa 7 Tottenham Hotspur 8 Manchester United 9 Crystal Palace 10 West Ham United 11 Brighton 12 AFC Bournemouth 13 Wolves 14 Nottingham Forest 15 Everton 16 Southampton 17 Ipswich Town 18 Fulham 19 Brentford 20 Leicester City
Palace in 13/14 were tipped to go down with a worse points tally than Derby … Palace finished mid table so I don’t believe that the predicted bottom 3 should be written off just yet!
Bookies being very cautious. I think teams like Brighton, West Ham, Brentford are going to struggle. I see Everton, Forest and villa having far better seasons. UTFT
Man Utd were a mess last season, and I question whether they’ll be any better this. They have started a habit of signing overvalued players who don’t perform- I’d put them at 8th.
Can't see Ipswich getting 38 points somehow. That's one point a game. Ipswich will be going into their third match having been thumped twice and with an already massive negative goal difference. Rock bottom unless Leicester receive a big points deduction.
Everton can baiscly end anywere from 7 to 13, if there are no injuries then we have decent squad and top menager. Pickford is TOP, back 3/4 is even stronger then last year, loosing Onana is not that big deal for us and that kid Iroegbunam form Aston Villa, he is looking very good that i would play him first squad. Active, brave with Garner and Tarky behind him he will give more to the team then Onana very soon. McNeil & Lindtørm on wings puting balls on Chermiti who is gonna either put balls into the net or play them down to Ndayie comming from 10m... As set pices are gonna be in place, well 5 189+ cm players in penality box and 3 players who like to get ball just outside pen box and strike it under bar...
If Newcastle get a right winger, they will finish 4th. They won’t have Europe this year whilst Chelsea and villa will have. Very hard to see chelsea at 4th given the new manager, and I think it’s naive to think Liverpool will do as well with a completely new dude as it did with veteran Klopp
My premier league predictions 1 Arsenal 2 Manchester City 3 Liverpool 4 Aston Villa 5 Chelsea 6 Newcastle United 7 Tottenham Hotspur 8 Manchester United 9 Crystal Palace 10 West Ham 11 Brighton 12 AFC Bournemouth 13 Wolves 14 Fulham 15 Nottingham Forest 16 Everton 17 Ipswich Town 18 Brentford 19 Southampton 20 Leicester City
As a wolves fan i think we will finish at least 4 or 5 places higher. Everton will never be relegated as long as humans need oxygen. Unreal how they stay up every season but fair play to them
Bookies putting the Big 6 above Villa and Newcastle... what a surprise. Villa literally proved last year that they can handle Europe and getting top 4. Sure CL is a step up in terms of quality, but in terms of managing midweek games along with PL, Emery has proven he can do it. The amount of Newcastle comparisons iv seen is frustrating and Lazy Journalism. Newcastle got Top 4 when they had no Europe and didn't have a European experienced manager at the time, Villa do.

@@itsgettingdark1134 Geoff here: Agree no points deduction...yet...but, I am sure one will come sometime this season. As a Leicester fan I would love us to avoid a points deduction, but, let's not keep our heads in the sand, as it is coming soner or later.

It's about time the 115 charges against man city were looked into,if found guilty on multiple charges they should be relegated to the national league,if course it won't happen because the corrupt EPL will cover it up.

I don't see how everyone is picking Everton to go down from where they finished last year. Last year they had a points deduction and they still managed to finish 15th. That is unheard of. Secondly, while they got rid of Onana, they still have the same team essentially and they have Dyche. I predict they will finish somewhere between 10 and 15. Here are my predictions: 1 Arsenal 2 Man City 3 Aston Villa 4 Liverpool 5 Chelsea 6 Tottenham 7 Newcastle 8 Man United 9 Brighton 10 Crystal Palace 11 Bournemouth 12 West Ham 13 Everton 14 Wolverhampton 15 Fulham 16 Ipswich 17 Brentford 18 Leicester 19 Nottingham Forest 20 Southampton

That Chelsea prediction I think is unlikely they have a worse manager and could be set to lose Gallagher who was important for them last season. I also think Palmer won’t quite hit the same numbers mainly because other teams know he’s good now so it will be more difficult for him.
