Yep, same, back in 2019, and even though it's been an up and down ride in my business, but can't imagine trying to start a bookkeeping firm without it. Also highly recommend! Paid for itself with the first client I landed about 3 months after finishing the course.
I would say, kind of. Bookkeeper Launch has you get a ProAdvisor certification as part of their program. And the knowledge you learn will help, along with the support email/group. But, they don't get super into detail about the QBO courses (b/c they have their own content you are learning). So, the QBO stuff certifications are a piece, but not the focus. Margie is one of my YT friends who does have classes focusing just on passing those tests. She basically gives you study guides with just the important info. I just passed my QBO ProAdvisor exam, after taking the Fast & Easy course. I don't feel qualified to go out and start procuring business, and I'm conflicted about the next step in my education. My QB experience is on Desktop 8 years ago. I don't think I can pass the Advanced test without some better prep than the Intuit site. Their material is not user-friendly. If you could only pick one or the other (Launch or Fast & Easy Advanced, maybe w/Payroll), which would you do?
I have a book keeping business question. Can you do a video about the risks and rewards for a new person to bookkeeping and deciding if its write to make it into a business or how to know when its time to start it as a business. You cant have a cliant tell you make it a business correct?

Interesting, thanks for the feedback! I haven't heard this before. Do you mean the QBO sample account has a limited time? The course Bookkeeper Launch doesn't have a timeframe. Did you try asking them for more time? I've found their customer service to be excellent (BL not QBO).
@@FinePointsBookkeeping BL use QBO to practice sample company. It expires 1 year. But for those slow like me, has to ask BL to QBO to open up again. Why not let QBO open up for students of BL to practice. After all they are promoting their acctg software. People paid for BL and using QBO. So why limit for 1 year , then ask for permission to open again? Doesnt make sense.
BEWARE: YOU ARE NOT BUYING BOOKKEEPER LAUNCH WITH ONE PAYMENT. I bought it for $199, was very satisfied with the course, but you can only request a refund within 30 days, and after 30 days you pay $199 EVERY MONTH for a year. On the payment screen it says $199 per month but no where does it show a total cost of $2,000+. Just know what you are getting into and read the terms and conditions.
Hello. I received an email with the demo. Afterwards, I looked at the site for the pricing. It stated 12 Installments of $249 for the Pro and $299 for the Premium. Installments=the monthly payments. Was not hidden. Still is not a bad price considering. Good luck with the course though. I'm hoping to join soon.
How different is bookkeeping online vs. the desktop version? And is it only the online version if you want to work as a freelance bookkeeper from home?

I am so torn between bookkeeper launch and Nerdenterprises Bookkeeper mastery course. I've already taken basic accounting classes in college and got certified in QBO Basic, Advanced, and payroll. I've set up my LLC, and business bank account & I am working on building a website (I have a background in IT so this is a simple part for me) I also have various leads through local connections and friends who no longer want the task of bookkeeping on their plate. Honestly, if you have your business set up, understand basic accounting, you are QBO certified, and have various leads, Morgan recommends jumping in to start hiring clients. Both courses will cover everything you mentioned above and although you may still learn bits and pieces throughout the course, there will be a lot you already know. Thank you for your honest review. At this point, I'm undecided between Bookkeeper Launch and Booming Bookkeeper. I think both courses are great. But there is a big price difference, which will probably affect my decision.
I have no real experience with Bookkeeper Launch (though I've heard nothing but good things about it), but I'm gonna be fully transparent about the latter - STAY AWAY. Bill is a wolf in sheep's clothing, sadly. The techniques he teaches to get clients don't really work nowadays (may have worked a few years ago, but not now). I've heard nothing but complaints about it and many people are trying to drop out. There are no refunds, and you are "committed" to paying the 12 payments if you choose the payment plan. So if it doesn't work, you are screwed.
I would love to get Bookkeeper Launch but it’s too expensive for now. I tried to buy it on a plan before but then I had a baby and had to prioritize diapers over the monthly payments so I lost the service. Hopefully I can get it at some point. It was very thorough.
Thanks for this! If someone were staunchly opposed to utilizing social media, how would that affect their experience? I see they promote the social media "family" and I also heard mention of social media marketing.
I think you would still get a lot out of it. You wouldn't use the FB group that is kind of the community feel, but you'd definitely learn a lot and be 100% ready to start your biz. You can use the email for help (instead of FB). There are lots of other marketing options too besides social media. You could just skip the ones that don't apply to you (linked in, etc). They do talk a lot about "yakity yak" which they mean, just talking with people you know. It depends on how much you want to scale your business, but there are definitely a lot of in person networking that bookkeepers can do. Hope that helps!
Hey! Graduate of Bookkeepers Launch will receive a certification, but you will still need to take the QBO ProAdvisor exam to get the QBO certification.
