Bookmas Behind The Scenes Vlog 🎄📚 

I see so many kind comments thanking Des for her hard work on Bookmas, and she did amazing!! But all I can think is how I hate seeing her stressing herself so much and not getting enough sleep :( Des, please take care of yourself🙏🏻 As a viewer, I personally care more about your well-being than the amount of videos you produce (even though they are all amazing and you do an incredible job!) Remember you get to set your own schedule and you don’t have to do all-nighters or produce as many videos if it means losing sleep and multiplying your stress! I say all of this from love and just want the best for you and want you to avoid burn out💗 (I know I probably just sounded like a mom🤓)

From a fellow anxiety girly who used to be debilitated by it, you truly have to take care of yourself. Now that bookmas is done, please take some time for yourself off of filming/editing. It hurts my heart to hear you constantly sick, tired, and anxious because of booktube. Yes this is your job, but you have to give yourself grace! Please don’t feel like you need to finish out December doing vlogs. We all want what’s best for you and I can tell you really need a physical and mental break ❤️❤️❤️ love you so much, please take care of yourself before taking care of us 💔

The fact that some people think RU-vid isn’t a job or content creators don’t do a lot of work, this is proof! Literally pulling an all nighter to read multiple books and edit a video, then dealing with a period, anxiety and being sick and still knocking out the long to do list. I’ll say it again- you’re amazing! Just wow

It was tough for this mom to watch you power through. I wanted to send you straight to bed to watch romcoms and sleep until you felt better. I hope that now that bookmas is done you are taking a well deserved and much needed break. We aren’t going anywhere. We will watch when you are ready to post.

Destiny, you are normal with a “normal” range of emotions. It’s expected in any job that you may have stress. And social anxiety is brutal, I know. But go easy on yourself. You’re trying your best! I’m not some guru but try some guided meditation or yoga. I’m a hella lot older than you and have a daughter that is 20 (I’m 38) and feel the need to day everything will be okay. Your videos are great! I have some attention issues, and you always hold my attention. Try not to change in order to cope with stress and anxiety. You’ll find coping mechanisms, trust me. Your personality MORE than carries you through! It does sound like you could do with an outlet though. We can only cope with fight or flight response for so long and this causes cortisol dumps in your body that can cause nausea and that butterfly feeling in your stomach. It’ll also upset your stomach too. Rest! ❤
