I'm in love with Taschen books. They have a really cool interview where they discuss the spell craft of book binding and sigils they've left in their books. Excited for your collage venture!
Oh man, I have a good collection of magazines and books that I started cutting up for collage a while ago. Thing is, I love books so much, I have a really hard time putting them under the knife 😂 My daughter collects Taschen art books ❤ Funny thing about Klimt: my daughter wanted a Klimt art book for Christmas when she was 7, and I ordered one. I’m so glad I looked through it first, because yeah, I expected some nudity, which was fine, but some of it was quite erotic and so not appropriate for her 😂 So I bought a Klimt book for kids. The Botticelli is one of my favorite decks! I just want to be in that world! I’m tempted to get the Klimt one. That Crowley Equinox book 😍😍😍 I’m glad you’re having some nice moments with your kids ❤ I know what you mean about being sick with a young family, it’s nice taking extra care of one another sometimes.
Wow yes tons of great ideas! Broooo I would die , I know I’m in trouble when baby starts moving crawling etc Dang, need Klimt ! Something nostalgic about his art I feel like he was in popular consciousness heavy in like 2007???
I tried to leave a comment so I hope his isn’t a double post. 😝 Places to find magazines and books (I especially like National Geographic for collage) - Etsy, eBay, library sales, flea markets, estate & garage sales. I keep a notebook to list sources for artwork & images I use in pieces in case I decide to sell to give proper credit. Because I’m currently only doing collage art for my personal collection, I haven’t really looked into the legalities so I can’t advise on that. For storage I have seen people use binders/albums, files, envelopes. I am limited on storage space, so I use the plastic totes sized to slide under your bed and keep my projects there. Make sure to get yourself a good pair of scissors that you only use for paper trimming. Good luck and have fun! 😊
@@HoneyLouWilson You’re welcome 😊 I hope to one day have something you’ve created in my collection. I’m not a big commenter, but I watch and enjoy your content. Keep being you - I wish you success in anything you decide to pursue. 💛✨
