AJ FIKRY is the type of story that when you finish it you just have to sit back for a minute and think to yourself - “I am so glad I am a reader.” 😊 And if my TBR list wasn’t so massive at this point😉 it is definitely due for a reread one of these days…😍📚
“All Systems Red” by Martha Wells has been a go to recommendation for everyone for me. It’s really short, so it’s not too overwhelming, and if you DO like it and want the option to read more it’s part of a big series. So you can read the one book pretty quick and decide if you want to keep going without having to commit to a 500 page book before deciding.
My personal fav -Louis L'Amour Lando(a great novel of the magnificent sackett family) -Tom Hardy (far from the maddening crowd) I remember as a kid i used to read them all the time
I’ve never been able to get in to books about just stories. It’s always gotta be some sort of self improvement book lol (because I’m lagging so far behind in life)😅
Tons of books out there. Even fantasy can help you out. Avatar the last Airbender replaced my need for therapy later in life basically lmao. Brandon sandersons fantasy stories are amazing. They're badass and about broken people saving the world.
@@JaredPalmerVlogsI mean it definitely teaches the dangers of not having healthy boundaries and the failure to understand what proper BDSM relationships are all about. The more you know 🌈
As a guy. The homelander series by Andrew Klavan. Fantastic read. Action, a little love story, and mystery that keeps you guessing until the fourth and final book
I love how unlike other booktokers or booktubers, you actually read and give us recommendations. I’ve been new to all of this and I usually see crisp books being recommended by many, which i assume are not read by them and somehow they give us a review about how the book is. Soo thankssss ✨
11/22/63 is one of the best books I've ever read. Interesting fact: Stephen King's son, Joe Hill was the one who came up with the ending for this book. I definitely recommend his books too if you haven't checked them out.
Red rising is ridiculously good, I listened to the audio book the whole time thinking if they did a show for it with similar pacing to The Last of Us it would be PEAK!!!
i read ultra long books like 800-900 pages and i love it but anytime a guy asks me what they should read i have no clue because they say they don't want a long book so tysm
Off topic but if anyone (regardless of gender) wants to read a really good World War ll book “A Father’s Promise” is really good. It’s based around the Christian Faith too so if you’re trying to find a really good Christian Fiction I highly recommend that!❤
I wish this series would go viral on tiktok instead of the absolute trash that goes viral for no reason. This book is SO GOOD: love the character, love the plot, love the dynamics 😭 wish more people would read this
Jurassic Park is honestly one of the best books I’ve ever read. It sucks that the movie really overshadows it, especially when the book is 100 times better (and I already love the movie). Every time I’ve brought it up to someone the conversation always goes: “You should really read Jurassic Park” “Wait, there’s a Jurassic Park book?” “Yea… what did you think the movie was based on?” “THE MOVIE WAS BASED ON A BOOK?!”
Also The Prestige, which inspired a Nolan movie. Guys typically love Christopher Nolan films, and The Prestige is one that is lesser-known but more widely respected. It's a thriller, sci-fi, and historical fiction all at once, and so is the book. I lent the novel to my brother and a friend, and they both enjoyed it.
Dude what the shit Billy Summers and Red Rising were literally the last two books I bought lmao. Billy Summers was such a fun little jam and such a different vibe from King’s other books but equally as riveting!! And only just started Red Rising but am hooked already
Hey i love books. I read em all the time. They dont just have text, they have pictures too and are called manga. My recommendation is attack on titan BoOK
I recommend "The Things They Carried" - Tim OBrien and also "The Sailor Who Fell From Grace with the Sea" -Yukio Mishima. Two of my favirite books: I think everyone should read them
my guy friends are always asking what they should read (i am the book nerd in the group lol) and all i read is romance, so ill def be reading all these and then recommending!!
@@cereal_qilla its a Hungarian book and it was so fucking worth my time. Egri Csillagok, theres a lot of versions of it. I personally have the original version, thats why its 703 pages.
My wife threw "The Hobbit" books at me and said, "READ THESE NOW." I finished them cover to cover in three days, and she got me back into reading again. 😂
haven’t bought any of these yet, but I’m gonna challenge myself to read all of these! (coming from someone who hasn’t read a whole book-and when I say book, I just mean diary of a wimpy kid- since middle school lol)
I just started reading again, I'm 23. before I started reading again Idk how young I was.. but middle or highschool ruined it. but I started reading and it was a fantasy romance.. not the norm for a fella.. but it is actually enjoyable.. really enjoyable if you find the right stuff 😏. and your female friends will want to talk to you about the books. especially if it's books she's read.. or.. tell her you want to read It together.
Thanks for the recommendations! I’m gonna try Red Rising because I really want more books to read! (I have to many but who cares!) I’ve already downloaded a sample to read later.
I was never really into books when I was a teenager, but now that I'm in my mid 20's, I've kind of started to like reading novels from time to time. The books that I've personally recommended to the bois and they have liked them are "No longer human" by Osamu Dazai, "The sailor who fell from grace with the sea" by Yukio Mishima (the middle is a drag but the first few chapters and the ending are 100/10) and "Gentlemen with no bitches" by Haruki Murakami (but we all agreed that Drive my car, Kino and Samsa in love were the best stories in the anthology).
I find reading really hard just because i havent found anything i like aside from where the red fern grows old yeller and like mid evil make belief like sir gwain or king arthur and the round table
What would be the reason for each of these? Are they life changing, eye opening, food for thought, taking you on an adventure? So I know what I might like to start with
I’ve just seen the tv show version of 11.22.63 last night. Loved the ending. I can only imagine how much better I’d feel if I were the reach the ending on a good read.
Another Stephen king book that I would recommend is fairy tale it is a fantasy but it is so good and you fall in love with the characters great for any audience my dad who doesn’t really read a lot loved this book
Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk. It's fast, it's gritty, and it doesn't pull any punches. Not a single word is wasted, and I'm very lucky to have read it before seeing the movie.
as a dude id recommend "the alchemist" by paulo coehlo, it's a very well written and philosophical story, and kind of changed my perspective on a lot of things
I recommend I have no mouth and I must scream to anyone who loves romance, It’s a book about a guy who hates the way he has been crushing on a girl and how he can’t confess his feelings.
My friend recommended “Tonorrow, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow” by Gabrielle Zevin… she’s now my gf 😂 in all seriousness, I think it’s an amazing book for any dudes who are into videogames!
It is Haley’s fault I’m on Dark Age (another red rising novel,) and I’m honestly not mad (this is your sign to continue reading them bc Iron Gold was my favorite)
I read billy summers and it was exactly what I was looking for. It was really intriguing to read. I'm halfway through AJ fikery n I'm not sure how I feel about it. Any recommendations like billy summers or some reassurance on AJ fikery would be great
