ooh, I think I will join the Outlander readalong. I started with the show, so I didn't feel motivated to then read the books. But, doing it as a readalong/buddy read would make it so much fun! ☺

Thank you for sharing! lol- I’m one of “those” that paused on an Outlander story and left off in the middle of book 3🤣 I keep saying I’ll start it up again and just haven’t so a read along in ‘24 sounds great! 🙌🏼 Loved Heartless too(think Reckless was my fave so far tho) and I have The Takeover in my kindle so just need to read it(I ❤ The Stopover). Lastly I bought Ensnared on Audible after ur rec for it….started it and I’m at the part on day 2 after he finds her. I stopped listening cuz I wasn’t enjoying it that much so started listening to another one. I do want to go back to it but it might be one that’s better in print vs listening to. I have liked others you’ve recommended too like Zoey Draven🌸

I read Outlander almost a decade ago while in grad school and loved it! I started book 2 but didn't get very far before putting it down, and ironically did the same thing with the show (loved season 1 and stopped watching part way through season 2). The series is so long that it intimidates the heck out of me, but I'm awfully tempted to give it another try since you're doing a slower-paced read along...Dang it Jenn, I thought I wasn't going to add another big series to my 2024 TBR haha!

Excited about the idea of a read along. As a dude in his late 20s I don’t know a single person around me that reads extensively. And definitely no romance. So I’m missing out a bit on the whole community/book club aspect of reading since I don’t really do social media (no twitter/tiktok/facebook)

I actually liked Untouchable, parts of the story even made me tear up especially the end part. Because of you I've read the first 2 books of the Spiders mate trilogy. I haven't gotten around to getting bound yet but I loved what I've read. I almost DNFd sea of ruin right at the beginning, but I am so so glad that I did not. I gave all these books 5 stars! ❤ Loved the takeover too! I bought the whole series based off of the first book. Would love a part two. 🎉

I might be up for an Outlander readalong. I’ve never read any of her books, but every time a new season of the TV series would begin, I often thought about jumping in. I LOVE Lord Ian Mackenzie, too. The others in the series were good, but Ian is my favorite.

I'm SOOOOO glad I finally read Untouchable. It is an all-time favorite for me now. It is truly fascinating how Zoe thinks about Carter. And I agree, it would spoil the book if we had his POV. I'd love a part 2 to this AND a Roman Empire video too! My teenage son was using that term and I had no idea what it meant until BookTubers started using it! lol 🤣

I read Illuminae without listening to it and I wasn't really loving it. I am still intrigued by it though. So I think I will read and listen at the same time when I pick it up again. Pam Godwin is the best at dark romances. No book has had me on the edge of my seat, feeling like I was suffocating because the amount of trauma and violence was borderline too much and you think there’s no way the author can succeed in an HEA. She does, I died, and it was 6 stars.

Untouchable is god tier for me. I loved Even if Hurts equally too lol Those two books from Sam Mariano live rent free in my head to this day. Others for me would probably be Kingdom of Dreams by Judith Mcnaught, Again the Magic by LK, Twisted and Dismount by Lucia Franco, Anti-hero duet by Gianna Darling.

Isn’t it funny when someone hates ones of your favourite reads…. I always laugh when I see a negative review for a book that I love because I’m like “this book changed me” and there is someone in this world that hated it 🤣🤣 reading is so subjective it’s crazy

Good for you not doing tik tok lol life is so much better and you get more books read without it. I have been on the fence about Outlander just because of how some of the books end, but I might just join in on it. My issue with JT new series is I think its overkill on the humor. It worked for her mafia books but in this new series it tends to detract from the romance itself and they are written more like edgy contemporary than dark romance like her mafia books were done. I agree that Untouchable is complex and the best book she has written from what I have read from her so far.

I enjoy the Outlander TV Series and have debated reading the books but I'm scared to read the torture scenes as I often can't held them in the show. Tristan is hands down my favorite hero. I've though about him often in the year and a half since I've read the Takeover. There is something about the combination of his humor and confidence that works so much better than a lot of other Billionaire Alpha romance hero types. Most of all he's a care taker/fixer whose looking to help Claire and her Children and changes things in his life cause they meets the Anderson's needs better. He just makes me swoon.

I totally get it! I will say, having read the books many times.. it's not quite as vivid and violent in the book. My opinion of course. But the show makes it much more "visual" if you will. Haha! And, you could always skip that chapter. It won't ruin the whole series if you do that. Haha!

She writes mostly all standalone! So it's up to you. Whatever you like best. I have a full video where I discuss every book she's written. So if you search Pam Godwin you'll find it. That might give you a better idea. ❤️
