I hated my side of the mountain in 5th grade. I thought that he just knew everything and had no problems. I also read hatchet two times that year for battle of the books, so I had a reason
Like you, I so would love to live in the woods in my little cottage with a cozy kitchen, sitting room with books, a little bedroom, bath, and of course a library! I'd grow my own herbs to create teas and broths. I'd spend my days writing and my nights reading! :) I also love everything cottage core and all about green witches and hearth witches!
Hi, Google a way to make emojis appear on your computer. I have a Mac laptop and you press control, command and space bar and voilà all the emojis appear to choose from! 😜
The Fairy Realm series I loved to read as a kid, and I think it kinda fits the Cottagecore theme since it's about a little girl who went to go live with her grandmother after her mom passed away and she found out in her grandma's garden there was a secret portal to another realm filled with unicorns, elfs, fairies, dragons, etc. And she befriends some of those creatures and idk it kinda gives off cottagecore vibes since it had magic in there even though it is for like tweens/young teens I still enjoy it. x
I highly recommend A Whole Life by Robert Seethaler. It's a fiction novel bout a man who lives in the mountains of Germany and lives off the land back in the 1800s. I loved it and it was such an enjoyable, short book :)
I don't know how I've never heard of this term before when my dream is also running away to live in the woods. Also, ALL of these books already were on my TBR. I think that's a sign. 🏕️
I’m so happy you did this video! My lil gay heart is going pitter patter 🙂 Also all of these choices make sense to me, but I never would have thought of them the way you have in this video! 🌾
🌾 I've heard of almost all of these books and I love cottage core vibes so even more excited to read those. I'd say that the wayward children books are perfect cottagecore reads and I read the series because of you!
omg I'm freaking out, you have wild beauty? I have it and it's one of my fave books to own omgggg 🤪 I'm so glad I'm not the only one who loves that book
Fr my grandparents like near wood and they gave us some land and in my culture we make little houses or cottage ig out of wood tbh I wanna make one there
Lol I love cottage core and my fav color is purple and I have this one shelf with purple books which are really pretty and I’m trying to get this other shelf filled so I’m looking like books liek that with cottage core like
Ah, I love cottagecore so that's just the right video for me :D The first book sounds interesting but also that cover is so gorgeous! Did not expect Circe but it makes sense. Never thought about combining cottagecore and books, but I think it can lead to good character driven quiet books if that makes sense? Anyway, loved your video :D
Hurricane Child sounds so good!! I will definitely be adding it to my tbr! I visited St. Thomas last year so I'll be able to really picture the setting! Great video :)
i LOVE this idea so much!! Silver in the Wood has been on my tbr for a while (honestly just bc the cover is so pretty haha) but i think i’ll pick it up sooner than later 😄💖🌱🌷🧚🏽♀️✨
i first dropped Circe because who knows why (i think i was too busy with school) but BOSTON LOVES IT AND SAYS THAT IT GIVES COTTAGECORE+WITCHY VIBES🔮🌿i'mma give it another try
I recently read A Million Junes by Emily Henry and between the cherry tree legend, the magical woods, and the waterfalls, very much cottage core energy. 🌿
yes to wild beauty and in an absent dream!! ooh, and I've been curious about silver in the wood 🍄 personally, i find the tea dragon society to be the perfect cottagecore book ☕
I love cottagecore❤🍄🌿🌱 Just so cute! I actually did a reading vlog on my channel where I read cottagecore-y books for a week and am planning on doing a second one because it was so fun (and I'm going to try my best at being more cottage core)! Anyways thanks for sharing, will definitely be choosing some of these books to read for the next cottagecore vlog.
i want to add the leaves emoji but i'm on my computer :'( anyways when I saw on twitter that you were going to do a cottagecore video my expectations went up and i was not dissapointed, this was such a lovely video!
Hi, I'm sure there is a way to make the emojis appear on your computer, I have a Mac laptop and just press control, command and space bar at the same time! I Googled how to do it, I'm sure there might be an alternative for your computer if that doesn't work! 😜
I have seen Wild Beauty pop up a couple times! Might have to add it to the (every-growing) list.... Also I never thought of Circe as #cottagecore until now, but I totally see it now. Plus, any excuse to hype up Madeline Miller! --Nat
I recommend "Lolly Willowes" by Sylvia Townsend Warner, if you're in the mood for cottagecore/feminism/Satan mix 😁 It sounds weird, but it's a great book, I promise 😄 P.S. you are absolutely adorable! 💚💚💚
