Hey Ellen! I am still reading Iron Flame with about 100 pages to go. I agree with you that at times, I am like "who is that?" I don't think it's you, there are times when I think things are assumed that we know or are not explained enough to understand exactly what is happening, however overall I am enjoying it even though it is a chunker and now I can't wait to get to the ending!

hey anna!! you’ll have to let me know your final thoughts and feelings. it definitely confused me for a good 80% of the book, so many aspects that i feel weren’t fully introduced/explained. glad it wasn’t just me!

@@bookswithellen So I finished the book and I am still confused. When Varrish was killed, why didn't his dragon die? I also thought it would supposed to take a lot of people to put power back into the ward stone but then her mother did it through Sloane?? Xaden is being tortured on the battlefield and no one comes to help? Don't get me wrong I really loved going back to this world and will read the next one but it did feel like the ending was rushed maybe??

I felt the same way when I read Iron Flame. There was so much information and characters that weren’t thoroughly explained or introduced. I felt a bit stupid reading it.

I'm so glad it wasn't just me that felt overly confused reading "Iron Flame". I don't think she explained things very well. I enjoyed the first half, but couldn't be bothered with the second half. The last few pages saved the book for me. I gave it a 3.75/5. Also, I totally recommend Katee Robert's dark olympus series. The world-building is minuscule and the books are very spicy, and although I've only read the first two (I'm about to start the third) I surprisingly found them very enjoyable to read.

i wholeheartedly agree - since this video i’ve dropped my review to 3 stars. i just didn’t actually comprehend anything that was going on and j don’t think it was well executed at all. i think ive read one of katee roberts’ dark olympus books and really liked it !

I preordered Iron Flame but it still hasn't arrived (weeks later) 😭😭 its in such high demand so I hope its actually worth it Maybe it's just me but I'm also in real need of some fresh book finds
