+Emily Lowrey thanks! i only recently bought books 3-5 in hardcover because they used to be paperback and destroyed haha (literally my rabbit ate the entire cover of OotP and i had to glue the shreds of it to cardboard and tape it to the book) XD

Thanks so much! Hahha well I wouldn't say my shelves bend, the shelves themselves are really sturdy. My only issue with it is that the backboard isn't made out of the same wood as the books (it's kinda flimsy?) so when you push a lot of books back on the shelf, the back tends to get a bit distorted but I don't think I'd ever by different bookshelves :))

emmmabooks ah I see thanks!! I think most bookshelves have those flimsy backs and I really wish that wasn't the case in we have so many books and it might crowded and we want it to be secure so I totally get and understand that one particular frustration:) great and thanks Emma! Off to buy them shelves now....even tho it means less space in my room but MORE BOOKS AMIRITE??!

+Michelle Li she is! hahah yeah it's a really interesting book. mostly focused on how to further a child's dance career, and even though i'm clearly not the mother of a dancer, it was a really interesting and informative read! you should definitely invest in a set of them!

Sigh....really no chance to ask my mom for a gift right now. probably have to wait for the end of the year with all the holidays and my bday. That is literally when I get most of my books.

Yanz vloggz I am aware of this, sometimes it's IMPOSSIBLE for me to fit all the books in one genre in one or two shelves so they have to overlap. The genre shelves are not so much as a label, but a general guide. Thank you!

+WonderlandKittyKat the way i've always organized them is that my jrr tolkien books tend to fit with my sci-fi books better than my fantasy shelf (bc my fantasy shelf always takes the longest to organize for some reason) so i just keep them on the end haha

+AquaSimmer ​ there are lots of different ways you can get a bookshelf! you can always take a free wall and put multiple shelves to display them, that might make it more spacious than a hunk of wood in the middle of your appartment hahah

Generally if a series has been concluded for about a decade, especially one as large as Harry Potter, I don't try as hard to refrain from spoilers because the majority of the people on this site have read it. Also, I got my Ginny wand (if this is what you're talking about) wayyyyyy before the series concluded (I received it around 2004/5) and I still got it for the same reason because I always believed Harry & Ginny would end up together even without the series being over. That comment wasn't intentionally meaning to talk about part of the ending, but to express that I wanted to be Ginny Weasley when I was younger because I wanted to marry Harry.

+Gordie Meek i don't think there's a such thing as "too romantic for boys". it's an urban fantasy romance series. if that's something you're into, i would definitely recommend giving the series a try! it's not the absolute best writing in the world, but the story is very entertaining and i love it :)

Because I own so many books I cannot always keep every single book exclusively with their genre so I will sometimes put them on a different shelf. The genre labels on my shelves are meant to just serve as a guide, not accurately define every book on there.

Sometimes I have to sacrifice putting books on other shelves in order to make room for other books. Not every single book fits perfectly into my "genre shelves" but the majority of books on that shelf are sci fi.

they're actually my sister's copies, i haven't read them yet! she doesn't have a bookshelf so she lets me keep them on mine.
