The Inheritance Games is SO FUN, as is her other series, The Naturals. I love Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ puzzle mind. Wool freaked me out. I don’t know if I can move on to Shift 😅 Happy Place is so good!!! It’s not a fun cheesy read though. It’s more serious than her other books.
OMG YES! Anansi Boys is THE best book I've read of his or maybe ever and no one recommends it LOL. Is so funny but so beautiful and captivating, i read it so fast I can't wait for the show later this year!
Yesss it’s the best!! I don’t know if I’ll watch the show, I didn’t even know they were making one! I just think the book is so perfect, I pictured everything so beautifully in my mind’s eye that I might be too critical of the show 🤣
Carla, I think you’re confusing the Housemaid by Frieda McFadden and THE MAID by Nita Prose (to be fair, the name and covers are so similar!) The Maid is one of my favorite books of all time. Not creepy at all, but a stellar mystery and a very unique and engaging character. If you’re an audiobook fan, the narration is wonderful and made me love Molly even more. The Mystery Guest (2nd book) is just as wonderful. The Housemaid by FMF is more sinister and has Verity/Wife upstairs vibes. I’m curious to know your thoughts! Please give us an update as you read these. Maybe you could read these both and give us a compare/contrast review? 😊
What do you like about it? I was so hyped to read it, but I couldn't make it past the third chapter because it felt like a Wattpad fanfiction (especially the main character).
Hi 🙂 📚📚📚📚 That's a lot of books to read. I like your book reviews. Wings, swords, romance........... it will be a good read 😂. I hope the bookstore is going great.
First inheritance game is my fav out of them all but they’re some of my favs! Also love Where the Crawdads Sing and that hit me in a new emotional way. So good! Watch the movie after!
Hi Ladies 👋 I've been following your channel since day 1 but this is my first comment. I absolutely loved this video please do more like this 😃 I am currently reading Black House by Stephen King and Peter Straub, Its very creepy but horror is my favourite genre. The book shop is looking amazing!!! Lots of love from Liverpool in the UK ❤
Hi girls! Good video! For the next one please put the title of the book, as well as the author in either the description or, in the video as you mention it❤
Also, I devoured Where The Crawdads Sing. It’s very atmospheric (which some people find slow) but I found very immersive. I loved the mystery and the relationships. Your trigger warnings would be abandonment, abuse, assault and murder, all heartbreaking, but not very graphic, and Owens navigates it very well.
Love your channel, very cosy video! Really enjoyed "Wool", hope you like it the second time around :) also loved Where the Crawdads sing, so atmospheric. Currently reading the Folk of the Air trilogy (faerie fantasy!) and The Empire of Silence (a scifi). Then Iplan on reading The Player of Games after (a super good scifi). Gonna look into some of the ones you recommend :)
Yay, thanks for being one of the first viewers and commenters, Amy! We are all good 🙂 The video is a little late because of the holiday weekend but all is well and we hope the same for you xoxo
I recommend anything by Sophie Kinsella. I also really recommend a recent sci fi novel called The Machine by S.B. Divya (it has a really unique look at the future I really enjoyed) and she even responds to e-mails from fans!! On the darker side, most books by Chuck Palahniuk (of Fight Club fame). His books can definitely make you feel a bit dirty after reading but they always have some profound insights.
Also on the spicier side, The Accidental Demon Slayer (a kindergarten teacher hunts demons (akin to Buffy but a bit darker) and the Big Time series (super heroes and romance) stsrting with “Karma Girl”.
Thank you for the reviews and recommendations. My husband's family is from Lithuania, his father as a teen escaped during WW2 and his mother fled with her family after the Soviets occupied Lithuania. They all came here to Australia where his parents met and married in later years. I unfortunately do not speak Lithuanian so I am unable to help you with pronunciation of Ruta Sepetys but according to Google the author says her surname rhymes with spaghettis 😀
Can you add a list of the books in the description please? I don't understand all the titles or authors when you say them because I don't speak English, but I want to look for the books anyway.
