N it depends from where you are and the way you pronounce the “c” and the “z” as well. For example, generally, in Spain we say the “c” and “z” like a “th” sound in english whereas in Latin America the pronounce them like they would an “s”. So him saying “Barthelona” is the way us spaniards would say it, but it doesn’t mean is the right way you know? It all comes down to where you are from and the dialect you speak. Hope this helped you and that i explained myself properly.

As a Gen Z high school overachiever who forgot to make friends and have fun, I saw this movie in the theater in college with my best friends at the time, and it’s become one of my all time favorite teen movies!

As a Millenial high school overachiever, who also forgot to have fun (well... to a degree), and saw this movie randomly on BBC 1 or 2 late at night last week, I agree! The cinematography, the dialogue, the characters, it's all so well done. Seeing some clips from the movie for the second time, not only makes me laugh as hard as the first time, it's honestly also really makes me appreciate just how well made this film is. I think this will be regarded as a true high school comedy 'classic', at some point in the future (if it not already is?).

Opening frame reminds me of "BIRDMAN"... and the voice over of the Birdman character. what a very well though comedy! Olivia Wilde is a very SMART director, would love to see more of her work, plus she's an amazing actress! Congrats to Beanie Feldstein for her Best Actress (Comedy) at the Golden Globes!

Watched movies, signed yearbooks, etc. But nobody threw paper towels, skateboarded in the halls, vandalized the lockers, had trash all over the floors. That is complete bullshit on most movies. Only schools with lack of structure and deliquent students would have things like that happen.

@@amberryder7951 Well that's my point. You probably come from a district whose students are disrespectful and wild and the school board/administrators just allow it as they lost all hope. My high school was pristine with no graffiti, people picked up after themselves (at least 99%), there were no metal detectors, or security guards. 1/3 of the students took AP classes. Our district wins various awards and elementary, middle, and high school were national blue ribbon schools. So I guess I was lucky. I also came from a suburb in Los Angeles with mostly Asians, Middle Easterns, and whites. We didn't have gang culture, hoodlums, punk wannabes, etc.

Its highly exaggerated, but also deeply grounded: *Our characters are not weird. In fact one of them is intensely, realistically arrogant. Everybody else is weird to her. This is very exaggerated so we laugh. It does take you out of the film though a little bit. But who cares we have this brother and sister wackness that I look forward to seeing at comicon. Think about the ship. It's really crazy that they have a ship. It's exaggerated to illustrate the gulf between our character (who lives in an apartment) and the wealthy kids in her school. If they showed them in a Mercedes, you wouldn't feel that separation that she feels. So all the characters and their scenarios are really hyped up for comedic effect and to illustrate her view: She smart but not rich, while these people are a bunch of crazy bozos who are rich.
