Hi Steph, and welcome to Booktube! I am eager to watch how your channel evolves, and to see what recommendations you have. I also hope the journey is enjoyable and rewarding for you! You mentioned som genres you like. I don't know if you have already read these (almost certainly you have read some), but: Fantasy: much of Brandon Sanderson's work, but the less frequently mentioned "The Emperor's Soul" and "Warbreaker" are really good Speculative: a recent title by a new author that would probably be classified as "climate-fiction" is "Entheophage" by Drema Deoraich. I saw a review that described it as Michael Crichton's "Andromeda Strain" meets Greg Bear's "Darwin's Radio". I am familiar with "Andromeda Strain" but haven't read "Darwin's Radio" yet. That said, I did find "Entheophage" to be thought provoking and very engaging. Medical mystery meets eco-fiction. Science fiction: I will always cite the "Dune" series by Frank Herbert, and after he passed, by his son Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson. If you haven't read any of this series, definitely start with "Dune", followed by the rest in publication order. I also recommend Isaac Asimov's "Foundation" series. Fluffy: another recent title, "Legends and Lattes" by Travis Baldree is a great cozy fantasy Epic fantasy: many people will recommend the Tolkien "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings" books, "The Wheel Of Time" series by Robert Jordan (completed after he passed by Brandon Sanderson), and the "Stormlight Archives", also by Brandon Sanderson, and I think all of them are well worth checking out. I re-read the Wheel of Time series every few years (and just about the time I finish, it is almost time to start again!) Horror: I haven't read horror in a while, but I like "Phantoms" by Dean Koontz

I hear there is a TV adaption in the works which may be interesting! Yep my swiss cheese plant looves the humidity and heat in Singapore!
