Hi, Welcome to BookTube! Your bookshelf looks great😊 I do one Video a week as well. You should do what your comfortable and putting out content that makes you happy.☺ Hope to see more from you.
I couldn’t do the whole showing my face thing, WAY too much social anxiety. I opted for an avatar to stand in for me. 😅 Looking forward to your book collection tour. I spy with my little eye, Desperation! The book that got me into Stephen King. 😍 Welcome from a fellow newbie!
That’s what got me into King too!! Started with the body as a taster but read desperation and just got hooked and started buying his stuff up like crazy! Thanks for checking me out!
Hi Krista and everyone!! So glad to be here tonight!! I'm reading Dear Mrs. Bird! Such a great WWII novel!! Getting ready to start Pillars of the Earth after I finish a Nancy Drew that I'm reading with Mitzi and a group of people and need to finish Dog Stories by James Herriot to fulfil my Read Your Shelves challenge for January! I can finish those both tomorrow!
Welcome to booktube! You come across like a natural in front of camera and loved the music too. Also if you haven't re-read A Series of Unfortunate Events as an adult I'd really recommend! I read them all a couple years ago and there are so many jokes and clever writing things that I definitely missed as a kid
Thank you so much!! Currently rereading Percy Jackson and gna do all the riordan books I missed, then I was thinking of doing that one after. Thanks for checking out my channel!
I’m also new to BookTube and I’m a musician! My husband and I both started RU-vid channels around the same time and it’s great to have another outlet than each other to talk to about our hobbies 😆 Looking forward to your videos!
Hiii random viewer from Germany here. I'm reading 98% of my books in English even though it's my second language and I even tried to read in my 3rd language French but it's sooo much easier learning English than any other language. Of course we start learning English in school (I was really bad and not interested) but after school the internet became my life and with understanding English you get access to everything earlier. I learned a lot of my English by watching anime in 2009 with English subtitles :) I'm very good in reading and listening but I hate to write and speak tbh. My kindle also helps a lot if I don't know some words while reading! And welcome to booktube I guess :)
Welcome! I just started as well and talking to the camera is SO different/difficult than talking to a person. I feel like a robot as soon as I hit record 😂 the book community is awesome though!
Welcome, bro! Stephen King can't write an ending. 🤣 Kudos to you having the courage to turn on the camera and start! I'm almost there, myself, but still hesitating. Looking forward to more of your videos.
Welcome to the BookTube community, from one newb to another! (I just started my channel this week as well.) You are so fortunate to be able to create your own music, as that is one of the biggest pain points for a lot of content creators. Best of luck with your channel - looking forward to watching more videos from you. 😎📚👍
Hi, Reagan. So glad you decided to make a BookTube newbie tag to make it easier to find you. Looking forward to lots of recommendations and hearing about books that you fall in love with over the course of the year!
Welcome to the booktube community! I had a similar life experience falling out of reading for most of my new adult life, and really got back to it as an "adult" (adulting is so hard. Totally wouldn't recommend 😂😂😂). Ah you're in for such a treat with the Expanse. I finished the series at the end of 2022 amd still haven't been able to recover 😅. Great job putting yourself out and jumping into a new experience, and this video is honestly great! Can't wait to see your next content!🎉
Ugh I love the expanse so much! Had it planned to finish by the end of the year and now I’m thinking I may finish by June haha. Thanks so much for checking out my channel! Just looked at yours and it looks like we have a lot of overlapping tastes. Excited to check out your content!
No… this was a really amazing intro. Talking to a camera is the most awkward thing. 😂 I have a spot for non-fiction in my heart. I wish we saw more of it on booktube. Also, I think your personality is perfect for RU-vid. I see this channel doing well. I hope you stick with it. I know I want to see more. Welcome to booktube!
Nice, I’ll check out your channel! You should definitely try to get to Japan at some point! It’s so amazing and I’m hoping to move back before too long!
Just subscribed. I'm a new booktuber as well and totally relate to your anxiety. Brian Lee Durfee is an awesome guy. I posted a link to my Booktube on one of his Facebook posts and he was my very first subscriber. I plan to upload my Booktube newbie tag sometime today or tomorrow. Good luck on your channel. We have similar tastes so look forward to your videos.
Welcome to booktube, great to meet you. Im planning on reading Looking for Alaska this year so good to hear your experience I have just started my second Stephen King book, Misery and has been great so far
Hi Regan nice to meet you. Looking forward to seeing more. I think we might have some crossover with reading. Love that you’re a musician too. (I’m a musician and music teacher) I’ve subbed!
Hah, nerdy hobbies - I've probably got you beat there :) Welcome to booktube Regan - I found your channel through MJ at Reading This Life. Looking forward to more :)
Great tag! I can relate to the anxiety of putting yourself out there. I keep hearing the expanse is a good series, il have to check it out. Dropped a sub, looking forward to your future content.
Hey welcome to booktube! I'm an avid horror book and manga reader but I'm open to other genres as well. Junji Ito and Stephen King are authors/mangakas that I enjoy the most. Anyway welcome to booktube! 🙂❤📚
@@HenkaReadsBooks oh dang nice to see another Ito reader I saw some King books on your shelf but again it's nice finding more Ito readers. I have to say my favorite King novels are The Stand (uncut edition) and Salem's Lot.
@@Kite562reviews ooh I really want to read the stand but I have so many other massive books on my TBR right now. I’d have to say the shining is my favorite so far. I haven’t read horror other than ito or king, what would you recommend?
@@HenkaReadsBooks well there's a 4 hardcover manga series called Orochi by Kazuo Umezzu; Umezzu was a HUGE inspiration to Junji Ito in the 60s and 70s. No need to read it right away but I definitely recommend checking out Kazuo Umezzu. The Drifting Classroom and Cat Eyed Boy are 2 other notable works by Mr. Umezzu released in the states.
Thanks so much for checking me out! I definitely misspoke and meant looking for Alaska, but fault in our stars was the only book I read in high school and why I picked up lfa. Thanks for stopping by!
I’ve retyped this so many times cos that’s so hard to answer. - inquisitor: rise of the red blade is my favorite book from Star Wars and is a self contained story with one of the most compelling characters in the franchise - catalyst and rebel rising are a great pair to add to Jyn Erso’s character and she’s one of my favorites - death troopers is zombie storm troopers in space… I don’t think I need to say more
You're Spotify link in the description doesn't seem to work, at least not for me. Though I did find your profile through the Spotify code at the end of your video :) Just thought I'd mention it in case you aren't aware!
Thank you! RU-vid makes you verify yourself to have clickable links so I’m going through that and we should have good links in the future. Thanks so much!!
