Premier Card Show in Brea, CA || July 1, 2023
We've visited a good number of cards shows in the Los Angeles region over the last couple of years, but have never setup at a show until now! Is setting up in SoCal as successful for Pokemon buying and selling as setting up in the SF Bay Area?

I come from a Magic background and most vendors who do these events are there to buy cards. Almost always over selling. Selling is nice but always a priority below buying.

I'd say a vast majority of sports and Pokemon dealers that setup at shows aren't doing this because buying cards at large quantities requires putting in the work to sell them elsewhere/online for maximize profits.

love how you have lower end/ cheaper cards out to for the kids to so they can buy stuff, I'm the same here for bootsales here in the UK any bulk I make my own custom packs 49 cards that are random so energies, commons, uncommons and rares then the 50th card a reverse holo, holo or sometimes a ex or I have a sticky note on the last card saying congrats! come back to us to get a free pack! sell them for £2 each and they always sell out then I have some more expensive single cards out aswell. its just great seeing kids happy about the cards and them being able to add to there collections to.

While profit and money is always in the back of the mind, we are fortunately and blessed that we can setup at shows and not worry about if we made or lost money as this is not our full time job. What we do is a very passionate side hustle and if we're able to help and make a positive impact on the Pokemon Community, that's what really matters to us at the end of the day!

Unfortunately the Burbank Show does conflict with another commitment we have. We will definitely be attending/vendoring at the Burbank Card Show in the future I'm sure!

I really doubt wearing a mask at conventions is having a very big effect on their growth as a brand. I completely understand why especially as a seller you would want to wear a mask at conventions regardless of if theres a pandemic happening the last thing you want is to get sick during a weekend long convention and if you're a seller dealing with a lot of people its not that unlikely to happen. Judging from your username and the "Pandemics over" part I would imagine that your politics are coming into play a little bit in why you want him to ditch the mask and its not just you being worried about his brand.
