Still tinkering on the new Trailfinder 3. I picked up this set of boom racing probuilt wheels at USTE. www.ultimatescaletruckexpo.com Check out my Amazon influencer store page for some of these products; amzn.to/2NMKTtX
Wow, love the BR wheel/RC4WD tire combo. The bronze looks great with the red. I picked up a Launch as well, but have yet to start on it. Great inspiration!
There were no shenanigans during that unboxing at all! We did the most serious and thorough unboxing ever of that truck. 🤣 Be careful with transporting it, it'd be a shame if someone dropped it...😂It never fails that as soon as you start filming stuff goes wrong, always.
Had to watch twice. Kept getting interrupted at the digs. Got some down time right now so got to see it all the way through. Like the tree stump crawling obstacle. Cost of 4WD RC's wheels, yes! Their stuff is a bit spendy but it's really quality stuff.
I've messed around a bit with 1:1 toyota pickups. Idk if it would work the same in scale, and it would have to be completely custom. But I can't help but think longer rear leafs would make a huge difference in travel. The most common budget setup on 1:1 trucks is a "RUF" conversion, which moves your rear leafs to the front, and 63" chevy springs in the rear. Comparing that to the TF3 the front springs look about right. But with 63" in the rear the front hanger would be in roughly the same position but the rear hanger would way further back, only about 8 to 10 inches from the rear bumper in 1:1.
Awesome choice of wheels and tyres 😍😍. Rig looks a beast now. Boom Racings Pro Build rims are fantastic, i have a few sets now and have my eye on some more. As always love the channel and looking forward to the next video 👍🏻🤙🏻
Watch that shift servo. Failed in two days, then the trans broke on mine. That “scale” 20L inline 4 was a bit much to deal with. This was like a vintage nitro truck as far as reliability. Body is going on a honcho and the parts will be used as spares for a tf2 extra cab.
Them wheels and tires set that truck off really well, I’m running BR wheels with rc4wd tires on my k5 trx4 too. Mine have the copper/bronze center but have the bead lock plates, and I’m running the Mickey Thompson Baja mtz tires all for the 1.9’s. So far they’ve been great to be honest, no complaints yet but they’re a lil pricey but worth it.
Great video and the Hilux looks amazing with the tires and rims that you picked. Dod you see that steering mod for the TF3 to remove all the play in the front end? If not look for it . Thanks for sharing your videos with us.
Man there's no way I could justify that kinda cash for wheels and tires on a rig. I run a GMade BOM. With Amazon wheels tires and after market servo. Spent the money on the MambaX brushless sensored kit. I have the Ramcharger body I'm looking forward to doing
Enjoying the content, really helps a lot.Just checked the tire height on my marlin and the stock 1.7 tires that came on it are the same height, also measured the 1.9 bridgestone TA k02's on my scx10ii cherokee and their only about a 1/2" taller.I was wondering if you have tried the reverse shackles on the front and if its a worthwhile upgrade?
I haven’t on the tf3 yet. Waiting to see if someone makes a kit to do it. My tf2 4runner has the a&m garage shackle reversal kit. I wouldn’t say it performs better, but under compression it moves the tire forwards so you have a little more room in the fender.
