This is personally my favorite MMX Maverick song! I've already done it on two occasions: it appeared in both the Mega Man X Maverick Medley and Mega Man Mega Medley II. Lately, I've felt ready to give it the full remix it deserves.

At first I was like "Boomer Kuwanger, again?" But after listening to this I realized all Maverick stage themes from the game definitely deserve full remixes, to bring these songs to new heights (plus it's been several years since the MMX medley)! The 2021 Armored Armadillo remix is still outstanding, I look forward to hearing more solo remixes from MMX.

15th attempt in 2023 at requesting "Magician's theme" from "House of the Dead" Megaman X is probably my favorite game of all time and the soundtrack is easily on my top 10 of all time too, so it's always cool to hear a remix of any of the song from MMX, you're amazing! This cover rocks!

This is as good a time to say this as any, that being Jonny doing my favorite video game song of all time. GaMetal has helped shape me into the musician I am today. I've been so inspired by Jonny to take the things I love most and make them my own through music. I can never say thank you enough. Your channel has been one of the biggest contributing factors to me going to school for video game music. You're one of my heroes, right up there with Jimmy Page, Jun Senoue, and Koji Kondo. God I'm so glad this cover happened, always thought that this song was pretty uniquely fit for you specifically to bring out it's maximum potential. Not that others haven't done amazing work themselves, I love Jules' cover and all, but I do think that the song loses a bit if you don't have the synth. X1 is my second favorite soundtrack of all time, and Boomer Kuwanger is my favorite song from it, so yeah I was really excited for this, there's a reason I had it listed on one of my prl alt accounts until it got handpicked. And I'd say it paid off, this has pretty quickly become one of my favorite covers of yours. Hats off.

Oh you're channeling some fucking Super Robot Wars on this one huh??? There's a few bits where you're kinda... It *sounds* like you're actually dragging *behind* the beat by a fraction? I dunno if that's genuine or just my perception screwing with me, but I think it really suits the song, pulls it back a bit and makes it feel a bit more intentional than most of the MMX tracks which are just rushing along as fast as they can lol. Absolutely sick cover though. No Seymour reference though, rip. ;(
