I could swear this game was faster six years ago. Nintendo probably had like a last, secret patch slowing this game down by 50%.

This has made me feel so old...I've been playing since Smash 64. I remember obsessing over the original Smash through my old Gamepro and Nintendo Power magazines, and played it nonstop for years. I bought Melee the day it came out (as I've done with every Smash title), and would hold yearly anniversary tournaments. My friends and I pulled an all nighter with Brawl's midnight release. On Smash 4's midnight release, I won the local Gamestop tournament, and got a hokey Championship Belt for my participation, haha! I...AM the Smash Boomer. I'll be passing out caramels and telling old Smash stories all night, come on in.

I’ve actually played every smash game EXCEPT smash 4. Growing up, my friends had nintendo systems that I played the various smash games on. Ultimate is just the first one that I personally owned, so I consider it my first smash game

Never played on the Wii U, I gave mine to a friend after about 6 months of having it, I played sm4sh on the 3ds, it’s controls felt much better than it seemed like they would

I grew up with Smash 4, and this makes me happy. I miss playing Greninja as well as I did, only playing Dedede as a secondary.

I started at brawl, and had no clue what spikes,nairs, and fairs was until i played ulimate. Honestly ulimate has taught me alot about smash..

Smash 4 is the only iteration of smash that I haven't played, because I've never known someone that actually owned a Wii U.

Weird story: I didn’t even know smash existed til ultimate, and I even had a smash bros 3DS game, I am as dumb as an online game and watch.

I started in Brawl thats the first time I have ever played smash.

Melee was one of my first games for the GameCube! And I would play 64 smash at my friends house before that, so I've been through it all 😆

I played countless hours of Smash 4 across the 3DS and Wii U, so much fun with friends I loved playing with customs because bruiser vs bruiser matches were volatile explosive matches with moves killing in one or two hits, like playing Divekick

I want to remind everyone how much you guys mean to this community. After learning more about a few specific creators (not ever naming them again) I'm pretty shook up right now. Much respect for you guys. Keep on keeping on. This community needs you.

I came from brawl, then smash 4, then ultimate. My sister came from melee all the way through the next games to ultimate. She doesn't play smash anymore but i do play ultimate so much.

Honestly older smash games are the incarnate of the "so happy i grew up with this, but this is better". I started my journey at brawl

Smash 4 is the only smash game I've never played, not even once in my 20 years of playing smash. I started with 64 as a kid, played Melee religiously as a kid, played a tiny bit of Brawl with friends, never played 4, and came back to smash when Ultimate came out, and have since played PM and P+ after I found out they were a thing.

Played melee as a kid on my old GameCube and that was it for me, until I got the switch and SSBU together during Christmas for my little brother and now I play on a competitive ruleset only. Always fun to see how the old games in the series played tho

I was introduced to Smash in 2018 when Ultimate was released. But I only had a Wii U, so I was playing 4 until one to two weeks ago.

Even though I played Brawl first, I was so young I basically didn’t even know half the mechanics. I went back to it the week before Ultimate came out, and I learned how to do smash attacks for the first time.

I came into ultimate through Smash 4! Technically iv'e been playing since 64 but smash 4 was the first one I bought with my own money. I mained Mac and i played exclusively with the 3ds as my controller lol. It's great to see y'all play this again!

Smash 4 was broken as hell, and that is what made it fun as hell Unless you played against a Bayo, Villager, Meta Knight, Cloud, Mario, or ZSS. Basically half the roster was hell to play against.

I always played Smash 64 at a friend's, but from getting a GameCube and Melee for launch year Christmas on-wards, I've owned every version of Smash, and I embody the meme about being too good to play your friends, but not remotely good enough to play competitively.
