Nick Colonna We 'old ones' Hate the new boomerang First off the logo doesn't even look like a boomerang the old boomerang did The new boomerang sucks in my opinion
I like the aesthetic, but it goes against what Boomerang was. It’s not a generic syndication channel for Cartoon Network. It’s a channel dedicated to showing the old classic 1950s-1980s Hannah-Barbara, Turner, Warner Bros., and MGM cartoons. A place you can go to either relive your past or for younger kids to know what their grandparents watched. That’s why it existed. Now it’s just a dumping ground. If this was Cartoon Network 2, then it’d be fine. But no. It’s not.
The old boomerang was the best bc you then still had the old Tom & Jerry, the old Looney Tunes and some more old TV shows for kids and i watched it in my young child time and i enjoyed it alot
I was 6 years old when I was watching boomerang. I remember all the laughs and good times I had. I used to sit back and watch cartoons all day. This made me cry. R.I.P boomerang. And fuck you Cartoon Network for forgetting about your old friends
Same to that Google logo. That new logo is good, but its better if they just use the 1999 logo, like Nick needs the 1984-2009 logo, CN needs that 1992-2010 font, Discovery Family go back to Hub and Bommerang keeps the old CN shows in the 2000s still, but change back to classics than becoming a CN 2000s network.
RIP old Boomerang. I remember when I looked at Boomerang in 2015, I suddenly thought I was switching to the wrong channel... The 2012-2014 rebrant was my favourite, that was perfect. I want that back instead of this one!
I understand that Cartoon Network is trying to get with the times, but they should've stuck with the classics more than what they are and added more 'new' classics. You guys know what I mean by 'new' classics if you're a 90's/ early 00's kid
R.I.P. Boomerang bumpers 2011-2015. They were always my favourite, and the last we saw was straight after the Flintstones, the flamingo sticking it's head down the hole to go in the mole miner shower room bumper , Garfield and then this mess.
Dang! I compared this and the old bumpers and my goodness! That's a HUGE change. The old boomerang bumpers nade sense because it was a boomerang right? Today, it just shows a box that says boomerang. What?! I still watch boomerang but I don't enjoy it as much as. I used to :(
This is a boomerang for babys Why should kids and teens watch it I miss you boomerang... 😭 From 2000's to 2010's.... #boomerang #2000s #nostalgia #bringoldboomerangback 😭.
Honestly, I can get past the new branding, but the fact that they aren't airing any classic cartoons anymore (The Poweruff Girls reboot is airing on Boomerang, and it's STILL AIRING ON CARTOON NETWORK), is what is really getting on my nerves. I remember watching the old Boomerang when I was a kid, and seriously, it was great. It allowed me to appreciate cartoons from the past that I might have brushed off to the side in any other event. The fact that they're airing NEW cartoons on here is just...mind-bogglingly disrespectful to what Boomerang is SUPPOSED to stand for
I remember watching boomerang since 2012 and the programming has never changed. It was still airing old shows (what the whole point of boomerang is) until I left the UK. I don’t know if it’s changed now especially with the Cartoonito rebrand.
MeTV is the closest thing we could get into bringing back the old Boomerang. They have a weekday show called “Toon in with Me”, brought back Saturday Morning cartoons, and play The Flintstones and Jetsons on Sundays.
Not everything, here at latin america, we have a tv channel called tooncast, that airs old cn and warner programs, its been using the same graphics package since *2008*
This was the ONLY classic channel, ruined. I'll miss Fred beating on the drums and the lunchbox one with the siren. These channels are trying to become all mainstream and flashy, it's pretty stupid to me.
Oh, they definitely _know_ people hate it, but the rebrand gave them the chance to break away from the 'we show all your old favourite classic cartoons' motto (which was what made it so great before) so that they could start showing newer cartoons and then make more money from the merchandise. So basically, older cartoons are great, and a lot of us want them back, but Boomerang has now essentially just turned into a crappy cartoon channel only used to make money from young kids. Boomerang= money > what people actually want
@@thevampiregirl7529 but belive me this is MUCH better than the the actual boomerang replacement channel [cartoonito in latin america] and the 2019 rebrand
Boomerang still amazes me due to how long it lasted the way it did with the SAME commercials. I always admired it for staying true to what it was. But, like how SS, AT and all other shows went bad when they hired new people, I imagine that Boomerang lost its executives and so they decided to, naturally, change things. I don't like it, given it will just be a Cartoon Network clone now, but I suppose we all have to move on now. We had the same stuff for fifteen years. That is much more than what any other broadcaster could ever give us. Let us just be happy it actually survived that long at all. Following this, I suppose The '90s Are All That is the last thing we have left that broadcasts old shows. Not its own channel, sadly, but that is something. That is also impressive to me, given how recent it still is for its time. I hope it does become a channel someday and carry on the legacy of Boomerang. I mean, Boomerang was a block for nine years, so I would not be surprised if this one became its own channel like Boomerang did. So, look forward to that. R.I.P Boomerang 1992 - 2015 Thank you for shaping my childhood.
I would like The 90's Are All That If they didn't have the same schedule every single night which I hate. I still like it but they need to at least change the schedule every night or every week so they can get more viewers. so far, the only thing I liked about it was the Snick-iversary in 2013.
and I doubt the 90's are all that will become a channel nor carry the legacy of Boomerang because of the 2013 rebrand of the block when teennick rebranded in 2012.
Toonami, and Gaming Channel They are already re-branding as "The Splat" nearly eight days from now with their own independent logo. In fact, just that block having its own logo instead of taking on that horrible new one like every other one of their freaking channels have is pretty impressive to me and hints that it could carry on as its own entity in the future.
Toonami, and Gaming Channel Not TeenNick I mean the block itself is re-branding as that. I think it is going to use old screen bugs that Nickelodeon used to use back in their glory days. Like, the shapeshifting one that said "NICK" on it in balloon font. It will truly feel old-school after this re-brand is completed. I am so excited to see how it looks.
Welp this is just a reminder of the fact Cartoon network ONCE AGAIN destroyed a program thats supposed to show old things... good job cartoon network ya fucked up
Yea, it airs old Tom and Jerry, looney tunes, The Flintstones, and popeye from the 50s they barely even air new reboots so stop complaining if there’s nothing to complain about
C'mon guys it's not THAT bad, Yeah many including myself are nostalgic over old boomerang but this is honestly very visually and aesthetically pleasing to look at
@@djstarkidmashups8536and you’re nostalgia-blind. you can’t just keep the same exact branding for 15 years and that’s just what boomerang did. they HAD to change eventually, even if it isn’t that good to you.
Boomerang 2000: literally every 70's cartoon you could think of 2020: Tom & Jerry (reboot), looney toons (reboot), be cool Scooby doo, Garfield ..... Where are all of my shows :,(
The whole idea behind Boomerang was to show the classic cartoons, hence the name *BOOMERANG*. I was sad just like everyone else when they changed it, but what bothers me even more than the fact that they changed it, is the fact that they kept the name, despite completely going against what it's supposed to be. The channel feels exactly like the main Cartoon Network channel, the least they could do is come up with a better name for it.
It's not that bad now. On memorial day, May 28th, boomerang will air chowder, the Garfield show, powerfuff girls, Pokemon, what's new Scooby doo, Looney toons, Tom and Jerry, teen titans go, amazing world of gumball, clarence, flinstones, jetsons, grojband, numb chucks, billy and mandy, fosters, Looney toons show, and the smurfs. So I'm excited!
Reason I hate the new boomerang is because we won't see the cartoons like the Smurfs Yogi Bear secret squirrel The Flintstones The Jetsons and all the other cartoons from the sixties seventies eighties and nineties if someone can understand the old boomerang is so much better does anybody agree with me
i agree agustin i use to watch the old boomerang i hate the rebrand but i have a better idea you can record the boomerang old bumpers like the old boomerang for 3 mins and put on a show on the playlist so it will play any order you want it to play on or you can shuffle the list thats how my boomerang is now
I get it why people doesn't like this rebrand, but this branding is literally introduced me to some 2000s CN shows like chowder and FHFIF and others, if this rebrand never happened, then how will i be able to remember and experience the 2000s CN shows?
I think the beginning should say: "we should explain, no longer do you see the toys and boomerang shaped b that literally says boomerang at the bottom.. please welcome the new rebrand and mark, we call it the boombox. And our new id rebrand, open the boombox. They both work WAY WAY WAY BETTER than that other one we had. Little boomerang shaped b and toys, you served us well, but we have moved on. Thanks, boomerang."
Mark your calenders! November 26th Thanksgiving, Theres gonna be a marathon of a lot of old thanksgiving themed cartoons like Popeye, Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound and others
I'm sorry to say but this just looks very lazy and not creative. It's like it's just these swirls colors and blobs of mess and trying to be all modernized and hip, cool. Compared to the old bumpers, those had more creativity if anything. Even the CN city. I don't know why they couldn't do something like that again, just redo it. And sad to see not many old cartoons from the 60s, etc aren't really aired a lot, compared to the new shows. Looks like I'll just watch RU-vid now...
Boomerang is literally Cartoon Network's trash can. THAT SHIT WAS CANCELLED FOR A REASON. I don't watch Boomerang to see Cartoon Network shows from 2011 (who the hell wants to watch Garfield?) and shit that's still airing on Cartoon Network.
Shh High THEY REPURPOSED BOMMERANG! why can't you understand??? plus, some people (like me) would want to watch garfield. (the garfield show is from 2009.)
-Fridge Polar- Same! I've been without tv for 2 fucking years and when I look up boomerang again it looks like Modern Cartoon Network shit all over it!
*I remember when I was very little I would watch the original boomerang and the announcer saying "you're watching boomerang from cartoon network" I liked boomerang because it aired hanna barbera shows like scooby doo which was a big part of my child hood, the flintstones etc. And I liked boomerang not just because they aired old shows but the iconic bumpers every time I watched boomerang I don't know why the f*** they had to do this after these rebrand they pretty much ruined my childhood but also f***ked boomerang I for one I am not gonna watch boomerang anymore.*
This so-called rebranding of Boomerang has been decried by many people who grew up with Boomerang. Let that be an indication that people can't handle change.
+OsamaBinLagging Hey did you all See BOOMERANG ON Baby Lonney Tunes!! ? Cause i do it's on my REC And It Says Baby Lonney Tunes But iT'S SHOWING SYLVESTER AND TWEETY MYSTERIES AND THE BOOMERANG LOGO AND COMMERCIALS, ID ??? IS CARTOON NETWORK PUTTING IT BACK ON IN THE MORNINGS??
+Aaron Velez I so agree, im so tired of people hating on Collin Dean just because he voices boomerang now, it especially annoys me because Collin is in my class IN FIFTH GRADE DARNIT. Even I watched boomerang like 5 yrs ago.
Everyone listen, I know how all of you get nostalgic with the old bumpers and stuff but you have to move on from those old things, you have to except new changes, even if you don’t like it there’s nothing you can do to make the people change their mind. Don’t get me wrong I grew up in the late 90s so I know how are you all feel all I’m saying is don’t get caught up in the past besides this new one isn’t that bad at all.
You know CN should've known that a lot people are gonna rage about the reboot of Boomerang. So why didn't they just make another Boomerang channel (Boomerang 2 or Boomerang Classic) and just show the same shows that the reboot of Boomerang is showing at the exact same time but with old bumpers. So people that like the new Boomerang can watch that version and the people that like the old Boomerang watch the other Boomerang channel with the old bumpers. Me thinking about it more and more that CN didn't do this makes me pretty angry and makes me feel that they are very stupid.
I agree, but the toys had been beaten to death by the time they finally got replaced. If anything, I feel like they should've done a similar idea to the toys with a new method.
✧AriaMVs✧ It will never be the same without the classical cartoons it was know for airing, now they replaced them with more 'modern' versions of the classics.
Tris Sprinkle I'm fine with the logo but if they were to bring it back it would have to appear more modern for times sake. But the fucking ANNOUNCER H A S TO GO
Camillo Cantelli not your fault if you like something, I personally like this my self, I just like the 2012 version more, that’s all. We’re all entitled to an opinion
Yeah everyone wants the old stuff back because they show all the old shows I miss old Boomerang and Nicktoons that aired Jimmy Neutron, Flintstones, Looney Tunes and Danny Phantom
Ironic. When Cartoon Network launched, it harbored all the old cartoons until they started making original content. Then they launched a new channel to harbor those shows, and the same thing happened again
