Footage by Six Flags St. Louis and Chad Carter - Take a front seat ride on Six Flags St. Louis latest roller coaster! Front seat view, Rider Cam, and Off-ride shots
@Boston Martinez it was “Flashback” there and pretty rough from what I remember. Boomerangs are literally everywhere and with parks having much better coasters generally that have one I’ll usually skip them or ride it first.
I rode this yesterday, it was my first real rollercoaster since I was scared of them. Turns out I loved it! I rode the Goliath, then the Iron Rattler after it was amazing!
Brandon Hirsch well there's only nine if them and none of them are that outstanding except for Maybe American thunder or Mr freeze reverse blast though that was cloned from six flags over texas
I use to ride this ride at Six Flags Over Texas when it was called The Flashback! It was one of my FAVORITE rides when I was a kid. I was sooooo sad when I went back as an adult to ride it and it was gone. However, I am very happy to find out that it is located at another Six Flags park. I guess I need to make a trip to St. Louis!
Yeah, Sea Serpent was the first Boomerang opened, of the 45 that are active today. You guys have a pretty good amusement park, I need to get over there some time.
It allows the parks maintenance staff not only increase the speed of the initial lift but also allows them to gently lower the catch car that lifts the train, so there is no more "clunking" on the way down.
This roller coaster was my first ever, and I can't believe I actually did it. I screamed at the top of my lungs during the whole and after if my eyes were ringing and I couldn't talk, I lost my voice. 😂 I was so scared.
superman's not usually broken down, it's the wind that whips around the cables high up. It's got a lot of issues because it was moved up from texas, it'll take a bit to work on it and bring down the down time
This is one of the best Boomerangs around. I really enjoyed it and so did my sister, we both voted it as the smoothest Boomerang compared to others around the u s.
That one guy is like there is that ride way over there and there is that ride over here, a beautiful theme park! We have 9 coasters now... Like he wasn't really focused on the ride as much as pointing out every damn ride in the park
Wow, I did not know that! I remember riding it the first year it opened also at Morey's. It's a good coaster, but just something about going backwards after all those loops forwards gives me an upset stomach so I don't ride it anymore.
I've ridden 3 Boomerangs, and this one is by far the smoothest of them all. I could ride this multiple times, except that my beloved Screamin Eagle is right next door. I rode this ride when it was at Six Flags over Texas, then again at St Louis. It's transport didn't hurt it. It's still a very smooth ride.
Did You Know: This ride was originally called Flashback, and was located at Six Flags Over Texas. However, they moved it to Six Flags St. Louis which gave them room to build the Texas Sky Screamer.
I've never ridden a boomerang type coaster, but they look like fun. I rode the new Twist n Shout coaster at Family Kingdom down at Myrtle Beach, SC last week. It was nice & smooth. It's your basic Wild Mouse coaster, and it has ' 57 Chevrolet cars for the coaster cars. I like the Swamp Fox a tad better though. lol
The first time I rode it, they pulled us back and we sat there for a few minutes in utter anticipation and had no idea when it would go. Scariest moment of my life.
Other theme parks have Vekoma boomerang coasters. Other Six Flags parks that have boomerang coasters... New England has 2: Flashback is a traditional boomerang and Goliath (SFMM's former Deja-Vu) is a giant inverted boomerang. Discovery Kingdom, Mexico, and Fiesta Texas each have a traditional boomerang. Other Six Flags owned parks... La Ronde (in Canada) has La Boomerang, which is a traditional boomerang... Great Escape has a traditional boomerang.
I was there earlier this year, and for whatever reason they set a new rule law on all rollor coasters that cameras were not allowed on the rides, and violating this rule would end in immediate ejection of the park and suspension of your six flags season pass
A lot of people get disappointed when coasters are reused at their local park, but at least it offers variety & an extra ride they never had before. This is a fairly decent ride and I actually talked to other park visitors who liked this one better than Mr. Freeze, though Mr. Freeze & the Boss are MY favorites from the park.
It's the coaster the park deserves, but not the one it needs! Personally, I think it's a fine addition to the park and it sits nicely in the space it occupies; the bumper cars that were there were useless and most of them broke down. Hopefully they'll just add a unique hypercoaster to the park within a few years, then it'll be a more impressive park in the chain.
Lol. They are advertising. "...yeah and Six Flags St. Louis now has 9 coasters"look at the park it is so beautiful". "This coaster is amazing". But anyways i love boomerang coasters and six flags St. Louis is a lucky park to get one. So much fun.
It seems to brake slower than the one in Walibi Holland. On that one, only about 2/3 of the train rolls through the station before rolling back, making it quite dizzying. I think they can regulate the brake force, so why they don't let it roll a little bit further like it does here (the whole train goes out of the station), I don't know.
This is a very popular coaster design: cheap (I'm assuming since it isnt full circuit) and loads of fun. No one STOLE it from any other park or whatever
