I don't know how Boomerang worked in America but in the UK those idents had to be there under UK law For all TV channels there had to be a very clear signal indicating that the adverts were about to start. The majority of the TV channels would opt for a fade out of the show, flash up the channel's logo and that's enough as a sign for the adverts For Boomerang, I guess they wanted to make it a bit flashy, to say to the kids "Don't worry, there's more Tom & Jerry, just wait a bit!"
Boomerang in the US wasn’t ad supported until June 2014, they mainly just played bumpers, however they now do the same thing with the we’ll be right back
Hubieran hecho este rebrand en América también, sobre todo a Latinoamérica, porque tremendo desastre que hicieron con Boomerang por acá. Aunque lo pienso, ¿podrían traer estos bumpers y adaptarlos a Tooncast? Yo creo que en alguna parte del logo de Tooncast se puede adaptar, eso creo
