Being a veteran of 699 music videos, beginning in 1981 after high school graduation, as a crew member, this was one of the funnest ones I ever worked on which spanned two states as well as my favorite locations. Wrecking yards and scrap metal processing areas.
I was ADDICTED to this when I was in 6/7th grade. Completely addicted!! I knew the lyrics by heart and I´m from norway & was 11 yrs - give me some credit for that! hehe. love walking down memory lane with this and all the memories attached to the period of when I was so in love with it and still am, in 2013 - love that! - this is a timeless classic! Much love my fellow BoomKat lovers! Wreck this shit!! ;)
The early 2000's was a real kickass time for music. We had damn good rock, R&B, rap, alternative, artists just saying "fuck it" and doing what they wanted, and it worked. Might just be me being nostalgic, but I liked what I heard back then, and going back to it here and there really gets me in the mood once again. I saw this video a few times on MTV, and the song stuck in my mind so long that it brought me here tonight. Definitely not disappointed with what I came back to.
for real! remember how diverse radio stations used to be? i discovered so much amazing stuff just listening to my boombox while i played outside as a kid, as well as trawling through yahoo music! there was so much variety and you didn't have to work for it like you do now. and that's not even mentioning that so much media is oversaturated these days that it's more difficult than ever sifting through all of the mindless crap to find the really good, timeless shit!
Its funny how people are like OMG its Pennsatucky from OITNB, when Taryn Manning's been around for quite some time. Seriously every time I see her on that show I remember this song.
cosmosblue772 like ikr then soon as this hit airways and she struck a movie deal with Brit Brit and if you followed up on her career she did a lil indie film called dandylions
This cd used to be my ish 😅🤣... I feel like I was the few to listen to her. Before oitnb, b4 Karen lol..., b4 anything else more modern, she was britneys friend on cross roads, & Kirsten Dunst misfit friend on crazy beautiful. And b4 all that of course was this, her music career. Her and sully (of godsmack) made me want to put teardro-stars under my eyes too. Ha. Yep, completely stile that from them
I'ved worked at a scrapyard for the past 11yrs, never once has anything this awesome ever occured during my shift! Oh how I would love to see her at my work!!!
Oh my God! I can't believe I finally found it. I've been looking for this song since early 2000's. First heard it on the radio & recorded it, but the damn cassette warped.
This song reached Slovenia 20years ago, I was blasting this on speakers before I went to middle school. Good old times. Even had CD and knew all songs 😝
Everyone is like "Omg Wrecking Ball before it was cool!" Or, "Orange is the New Black!" this song was in 2003's The Italian Job, and I've been hooked on Boomkat ever since I saw that movie as a kid lol
Amoll: Great song---took me awhile to find who the hell it was. Got the Cd, and it's actually pretty good, too. I basically know this actress mainly from that 2005 about the pimp who wants to become a rapper.
@@sebastiansaucedo9965 I'm old enough to be natcat's dad's dad, and for me (like someone else here in the comments) my intro to Taryn Manning was the film Hustle & Flow. Then worked backwards from that to learn more about her and what she had done, got to Boomkat.. and... *BOOM*
I can't believe they dont have a million views yet. Such a great jam even to this day. I remember 1st watching this back in the TRL days. Hopefully they realease album 3 someday
I think this is my fav part When the toxic world sucks u in2:07 - (2:18) 2:26: ok brat, you're free to go. 😊 my playlists and youth wasn't entirely that bad, ty very much.
Memory Unlocked!! First time I watched OITNB I knew I recognized her face from something but couldn't remember what! I use to see this video on MTV in the morning before school. Happy I found this again!
Probably one of my favourite pop songs from the last decade. Catchy, Cool and has a very indie/altenatie feel to it that many other pop songs don't seem to translate as well. Also the sort of song that will take you back to 2002-2005.
I just found about this song. In the first 10 seconds I immediately licked it! It caught my attention immediately when I was tryna find new 2000s songs. This should've been a big hit!
Just saw her as the pregnant friend in the "Crossroads " movie with Britney, Zoë Saldana, Dan Aykroyd and Kim Cattrall. She such a badass, always loved this song
love the sound of her voice, just as much as I love the craziness of her character in show, orange is the new black!!! She is edgy, beautiful and talented!!
