Anyone else blown away by Regina King's skill as a voice actor? They both sound like preteen boys, they sound so distinct you can tell their grunts of pain apart. Both have a wide range of tones and inflections in their voices. Played by the same actress.
Huey and Riley sound similar in season 1 but she later changed huey’s voice in season 2 to differentiate the two more. That’s why huey sounds more laid back and a bit more mature from season 2 onwards.
And I once thought that Riley was voiced by cardi b, it was to my surprise that these 2 characters were voiced by 1 person, my reaction is that "so cool" 😲
@Neo Rhikee E. Javier Why would you think that? This episode is from 2005. Cardi B would have been 13, and a pretty prominent voice actress. Is she known for voice acting before she started rapping or something?
@@cartrellsplunge1525thing is, he probably knows martial arts like huey does, but since he doesn’t consider it to be “thug”, he prefers the street brawler style he uses. I only say this because Riley was hitting flips and whatnot in the later seasons
I always had a theory that their parents may have taught then those skills. And the boys took after a parent with a specific weapon choice. Like Mom had guns and Dad had swords or vise versa
One of my favorite fights to the Boondocks ever, Huey has beaten Riley twice during his sibling rivalry. Every time I see Huey do a flip it makes me imagine myself doing that someone and kicking my enemies in the face.
I know this is from the 11th episode (trust me I’ve seen the entire show) but imagine if this scene was the in the beginning of the first episode? It would be even more cooler and would probably establish the dynamic of Huey and Riley to the audience in the MOST subtle and quickest way possible
