The Medical Enthusiast that’s ridiculous. You could say the same thing about our lifestyles. I’m sure you could be worse off so you properly work to stay wherever you are if not move on up. How many times can you buy the second hand shoes and the off brand watch before it becomes normal. It only becomes boring or loses its appeal if you do it for the wrong reasons. If I love collecting watches, that’s not gonna bore me. If I don’t care about shoes but I keep buying em to look cool or just because it’s sum to do with the money, that would suck
110 percent agree with Boosie! When I was younger and broke, I would look for trouble anywhere I could find it. But once I became financially stable my attitude towards non-sense changed majorly.. Money creates opportunities and opportunities create peace. If applied correctly.
I think and no offense to americans. The whole money buys you happines and shields you from unhappiness is an american thing and maybe if you are dirt poor. Middle-class average joe's in the rest of the west have a lot less to worry about because the medical care is more accessible. Of course there are a few exceptions but for sure I know alot of wealthy people with mental health issues, more stress and less enjoyment because they already took a sip of everything. Being rich and depressed is dangerous situation to be in. I do get that everyone has a different opinion so I don't care to really discuss the other way around xD
If you grew up poor like I did, not eating sometimes or lights being off or getting evicted, shit money can buy happiness. Cause having the money to prevent those things make me happy
Only people that grew up broke think that. Its just a resource. If you have enough, you good. You dont need an excess. You dont seek the material to feel happy. You cant buy love. You def cant buy respect. You cant buy mental health. And none of those things are expensive at all. I grew up broke and made it out, so i see both sides, and too many ppl got traumatized by growing up broke and poor and now they fetishize and worship cash money like an actual drug.

Nah most of the people who say that be having mental health issues, but they contradict themselves because they also use that money to go to therapy and get help or fly places to get away, (which in turn makes them happier/feel better) when the average person can’t afford to get help or go anywhere

It's really just a medium of exchange. But the asset is what you aquire with it, whether that asset is appreciative or depreciative. Be it stock into a stable, strong company that pays dividends or increases equity overtime or a car that depreciates in value overtime
ERROL M not that type of asset lol. Meaning as in if you’re emotionally strong and have a good peace of mind in your life currently, money will only boost things for you since the personal aspect of your life is took care of .
Money does not buy you happiness, it is a tool that can help with happiness if used correctly but does not guarantee it. Remember happiness is 100% mental, there are poor people that are very happy and content with their life because they have the things that matter to them like family and there are wealthy people that are miserable who have made 100s of millions and feel empty inside.
Obama Sin Laden the things that truly bring humans happiness are relationships such as family, friends, wife/husband. A lot of rich people don’t have the time to build and nurture these relationships. Getting rich means sacrificing time away from family and friends. Anyone can become depressed like this
It’s all in a person’s mindset. Me having millions in the bank will only fuel what I’m already doing (10x). So the million dollar question is; what am I doing? I’m doing something that makes me happy 😊

Money is definitely a tool/asset that can be used toward happiness. Happiness to me is having my own piece of land to build a compound (maybe also have farming, and run a bed & breakfast/resort), and share with my family so they'll always have a place to call home. No utility bills other than internet (well water, wind/solar generated electricity, compost toilets, etc.), every outdoor activity you could ever think of (atv trails, and a big pond for swimming & fishing), and for the winter months a party room/game room (like a dance club meets Dave & Busters), and an indoor pool, gym, etc. I'd also love to have money to travel all over the world, and experience different cultures, connect with people, etc.
I think maybe money can buy you happiness until something serious happens that money can't fix it. But most ppl problems stem from monetary issues(bills, home, car ECT...), So maybe it buy those folks happiness.
It all depends on what you define as happiness. Everybody is not the same, so therefore people value it differently. Money can definitely buy me happiness

I believe money can bring you a certain type of happiness from a financial standpoint like if you come from nothing use to be broke type shit but as a whole mentally spiritually i don’t think so it’s certain shit money can’t buy
Vlad won't talk about this with someone that could challenge his perspective with a well thought-out comprehensive answer. And, people with money sometimes find themselves in potentially violent situations because they believe that having money gives them a license to disrespect people.

You never saw a rich person try to give away all of their wealth while living, and you never saw a rich person go bankrupt and not try to rebuild wealth. That says a lot.

I agree too, money does bring some form of happiness. But it will never bring true happiness. true happiness is not obtainable in this life time. Real happiness is psalms 144:15 “Happy is the people for whom it is this way! Happy is the people whose God is Jehovah!” Only true worships of the true god knows how real happiness feels. Matthew 6:19 “ Stop storing up for yourselves treasures on the earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal.” “ Rather, store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes, and where thieves do not break in and steal.”
Man I’ve been trying to tell people this. I agree that it cannot buy happiness if you aren’t happy with yourself and who you are. However, it does help. The one and only defense I use is “lets see how happy you are when you can’t pay your bills.”
