Boosie Badazz’s outspoken nature has gotten him into hot water in the past, but he’s gained a lot of respect for standing firm in his beliefs. On The Danza Project, Boosie explained how this has come at significant financial losses, citing a $250,000 performance fee at an LGBTQ+ community event that he declined. “I told them I have nothing against it at all, but that’s not what I’m pushing, that’s not what I believe in,” Boosie says.
The “Ungrateful” artist has been at odds with the LGBTQ+ community since his controversial comments surrounding Dwyane Wade’s child. Although he remains unapologetic in his stance, he admitted that he wished he could’ve communicated his thoughts more effectively in that incident. The aftermath found Boosie losing deals, opportunities, and even his Instagram page -- an outlet that helped him generate significant revenue. It ultimately fueled his entrepreneurial spirit and drive to branch out as a businessman without having to compromise his own beliefs.
