Boost Electric Surf Fin | Unboxing and Installation 

I used my fin for the 1st time (9/8/2023) on my SUP (Sunova 9’4”) in the Florida East coast. Waves were 2 to 3 feet, no big deal and easy waves. I was on a wave and the wave kicked my board over, the board went over with breaking off the Boost Fin. Lost in the ocean. I was not able to retrieve the fin. This is a weak point and see this occurring a lot. Others will have the same issue in wave action. This point of connection to the board needs to be changed to aluminum as this is a high stress area. Boost will sell me another one with a leash at over $400 w/shipping. .

Can you use the boost fin without the rubber plug at the back? The instant I pulled it out to insert the power cord the rubber plug broke off.

I received my Boost fin and set setting at 80% continuous, with other at 100% for 10 seconds. Did a test in pool with 80% - continuous and it lasted for 30 mins. My goal was to use the Boost on my SUP out in the surf to help get out past the break and to help catch wave. I am thinking, this should be able to stay in water for about an 1hr surf session. Have not tried in waves / ocean yet. Also, I was NOT able to get Boost to stop running if the remote went to far away. I was under the impression if the remote was not close enough the Boost would stop, this is NOT the case. Hope this helps. .

Has you tried it as 2 and 1 setup on a longboard?

Is it possible to install 2 in one long board?

GET OUT! That looks like a fraud. I had bought 2 Boost Fins 1 year ago or more and HAD NOT RECEIVED ! .....Take care with frauds! I do not recommend Boost Fin
