I have been growing indoors for 4 or 5 years and I started ScrOGing about 2 years ago. I will never grow another plant (indoors) without scrogging. All buds are top buds with zero larf. If you are going to pay top dollar for electricity, you might as well make it as efficient as possible.
@redneck740
@redneck740 2 месяца назад
Wouldn't it be far more efficient to grow more, yet smaller plants with far less veg time? The lights are on longer in veg than flower so the quicker you get to flower the less electricity you use.

I tried them all. I like LST. I get better results and I don’t have to hurt the plant. That way I never have to say sorry to them. Yes I talk to them and name them all. In the 5 years I have over 100 different ladies name tags. Lol I have no ideal why I do any of it. Habit and maybe a little superstition. Great show guys!

Just imagine how brutal the wind outside can be. And over some bazillion years Plants learned to deal with it. So an indoor plant needs a bit of "hurt".

It’s kind of the same idea of lifting weights. Mass increases due to micro tears in the muscle tissue. I personally have been using low stress training techniques and prefer it over other styles of SC. I massage the stems once they’re established in their new pot. Point is (as was specifically stated in this video) to break up the internal fibers without breaking the outer bark. You get those “Incredible Hulk popping out of his shirt” looking stem bases.

I'm new to growing cannibis. I bought a clone in May and stuck it outside. It stretched and started the flowering process. Then flipped back to veg, so I chopped about 6 inches off of every branch until it was just over half it's size lol. It's root bound because it's in a pot that's too small. It's fine. I'm sure all the new growth spots will fill back, and it will produce buds, lol. Basically, I'm doing everything you aren't supposed to do, and it's not dead yet, so don't stress out too much. If I haven't killed that plant, your plants will be fine, lol. I've chopped that plant like that twice, lol. It's still fine and growing like crazy lol.

Talking about training branches to a 80-90° angle and growing outward, I have a couple of sativas I topped at the 7th node that are 36 inches wide and almost a perfect circle but only 16 -20 inches high (measured yesterday) during an outdoor grow on my roof. so being in nyc it's just about the end of veg since I'm seeing pre-flowering going on. That's how you get a lot of clones by taking the new branches that came out of the original branch from nodes 1-4 since they won't get to the top of the canopy. I lose count of how many bud sites there are from all the new branches from the original branch that's 90° horizontally. I've been watching after topping the plants almost lollipop itself as long as the inner fan leaves are pruned off. Outdoor grow is more fun and interesting to watch the plants grow because of the sun moving across the sky, watching the leaves up facing east in the morning and follow the sun throughout the day and face westin the evening. Plus rooftop wind makes the plants stronger from all the wind abuse.
@troypowell2403
@troypowell2403 Месяц назад
We actually found this out by accident over a decade ago when I first started so I named it knuckling because it was like the plant grew a knuckle and it would produce big buds right above where the heavy buds or breaking branches would occur. so they got even bigger and so we started doing it in certain areas to produce more bigger buds. It was great, but you have to be careful cause you don’t want to totally break the branch because then it would become murdering and you don’t wanna murder your plants so be careful using this technique you use zip ties, and Bamboo sticks or whatever you got to support them after you bend them.

I think if you have enough airflow i don't think lollipoping helps focus energy up top the shaded leaves get eaten turn yellow and feed the tops. Also double harvesting the scruff can turn into nice late harvest buds with nice frost... keep the leaves and scruff for its food!.

i celebrated harvesting my black diamond by popping another seed. my god, this purple punch seed came up in just like 3 days! I stuck my head in the tent to look around, noticed something green in that pot and actually went "ew" for a second, because it just wasn't even in my mind that the seedling could have popped so fast. But there she is! A new purple punch in her own fabric 5 gallon. I wanna see how big this one gets, might just grow her in my sativa tent for a while.

I actually like to grow my plants without topping a lot! Or training just bamboo or tied from the ceiling. I have good side branching on my plants I like to grow and I get that monster bud! You need a good light to penetrate your canopy which I cut below to get rid of smaller bud-sites. I spend on my lights! I have grown every way possible in my experience what ever floats your boat! What ever gives you a steady harvest and good quality! What ever way you can maintain steady growth with constant good results! Best of all time maybe not but Consistent I am a quality over quantity old school grower! Like a fine wine! Like growing the best grapes for that fine wine! Fine tuning your grow what ever way you chose is the best way to go! I have seen people grow in some incredible small conditions! Train those plants to go in what ever direction you want it to go! Or let grow natural if you can! Big ass buckets make for bigger plants So by using smaller buckets you are training that plant all ready I like to grow those 2.5 to 3.5 foot plants! With side branching! Rock hard purple indica leaning! Nothing better than smoking your own in a nice glean glass bong! Especially since big box store weed is loaded with chemicals and pesticides What a shock that is! Go green grow your own weed!
