I'm in the UK too - this very morning I saw a minibus driven by a masked driver. The mask was pulled right up to the eyes, sunglasses on, usual story ... I screamed silently. We're around 4.5 years on and I don't think at this stage these people can be described as anything other than moronic. Even if you presented all of the evidence to them, they'd never get it. My parents are two of those people, unfortunately - highly educated scientist father, medically trained mother - they threw tantrums at me (literally) when I tried to warn them what was happening. I've given up on them. Unfortunately they're the one who are going to drag us into the hell we're being steered towards.

I am Japanese and am living in the UK. The only time I would consider wearing a mask in public is when I am sick with a cold or flu and risk spreading the virus to others by coughing or sneezing. Japanese people wore masks before COVID-19 started, but we wear them as a courtesy and consideration towards others when we get ill. We don't wear them to protect ourselves from others.

This is a really positive sign. I understand the cynicism of the previous comment but we have to be grateful for even the smallest sign of change. There are at least three people at my local surgery who have expressed doubts about the vaccine to me in passing conversation. One was a young female doctor who was in early pregnancy. One was a nurse, originally from Africa, therefore French speaking, whose partner knew about Professor Raoult from Marseilles, who was so vilified for his use of hydroxychloroquine, and the third was a nurse who asked about my vaccination status (no to Covid vaccines, no to flu vaccines) and was clearly sympathetic. I doubt whether any of these three personnel was able to talk freely. Its horrible. It's criminal. People need to be jailed.
