What a delightful way to start my day with a cup of coffee and my favourite gardening Lady 😊 These Kniphofias are gorgeous and the lemon coloured one will stay yellow but will still look good in your gorgeous border. I always smile when I hear how certain plants are called in the USA versus England. Your hardy Hibiscus truly is a show stopping beauty and must be the envy of the neighbourhood. Just like you, I love to keep my border neat and tidy. What I admire the most is that you do have a full time job and yet you dedicate quite a lot of your free time to make these wonderful video updates ! Considering the incredible heat you guys are experiencing with no cooling down of the temperatures at night, most of your plants are looking remarkably well and happy ! Lots of love from London UK 💚
@@playmovictorian I just went 3 days of work. I still feel like I work 7 though. Your comments are so nice and thoughtful. Thank you for so much. It makes it worth all the work to make someone’s day.
Congrats on your beautiful garden! I just found your site from Janey's video this morning. Aren't we lucky to go along with her on this journey. You have done an amazing job with your yard and I'll enjoy going back and visiting your older videos. It's almost too hot to go outside here in Texas. I'm on "keep my plants alive" mode this week. Enjoy your day. 🌺 d
I love blue and orange together as well and my Artists Garden is those colors, though some of the blues are more purple, but lets just call it blue anyway. 😉 I put a bale of alfalfa hay in the woods across the street from me and the deer fill up on that instead of my garden. I am envious that you can get blooms from the hibiscus, even though I am zone 8b they will not really bloom until September and they take up some much room. The Papaya Popsickle is a dwarf kniphofia and it looks to be the right color. They should be perfect with your Pugster. That westside is looking gorgeous.
You are so lucky to have access to the beautiful plants from a variety of shops. That yellow daisy, orange red hot poker plant combination is a winner.
Hi Kim 🌺 .These kniphofia are so pretty . The name of it kniphofia lemon popsicle dwarf red hot and it stay yellow and it like full sun . The hibiscus looks amazing . Have a wonderful day .🌺🌻🌺
Good morning Kim, your video today is over the top great. So many good tips and your descriptions are the best. Your huge Summeriffic Hibiscus is my favorite. Drip irrigation definitely makes the difference in these extreme temperatures. Love your beautiful gardens. Thank you for sharing. 🤗
I am amazed at the transformation of your side yard in such a short period of time. Your hard work has paid off! I would treeform the holly on the corner next to the hibiscus. It will really open up the space.
Your garden is absolutely beautiful. How did you get started? Did you have a plan and picture of what you wanted your garden to look like, or did you just start planting things you liked?
@@kirstentaylor93 Kirsten this could be a whole video. I did a video describing most of it when I just got started. I need to do a new one. I dreamt about most of it.

I’m in Columbia, SC…blazing hot….I planted several verbena but they are not growing and filling out full like yours. Any thoughts? They are on sprinkler but not drip and I hand water as well. So frustrating…they are not PW just generic
With the heat it sounds like you live in NC, I am the heat is terrible. I have already been cutting my plants back, and I don’t have drip. We have had no rain.
Happy 4th of July, Kim. Pray for our Freedom, 1776! ❤Your movies are always nice, you work hard. In Florida, we use a Lot of Hibiscus, love, love, love!💕
Hi Kim! I have a Red Hot Poker and mine is the orange/yellow and that’s how that one will bloom. I bought my girlfriend several that are called Key Lime and they are green and creamy white color. So I’m thinking the one you bought may have been accidentally miss tagged. Curious to see what color it blooms, will you keep us updated?
