cool shop. tons of boots to pick from. all we have here is universal field supply, most of there stuff is for the tree service guys all we pretty much get from there is our safety gear like cutting boots and pants. I wear the Viking boots with the leather uppers and love them.
theres nothin like a good saw shop...when i was home for christmas Jesse and i went down to woods logging and cowlitz river rigging for hours just window shoppin lol
I wore out a couple pairs of the Wesco boots then my last pair in AK was 10”Whites. Didn’t have to soak them like the Wesco. However, if you’re not familiar there is the Whites Bite! Thats why ya gotta soak em!
I'm another guy who used to buy a lot of Whites (although not corks) and have switched to Nick's. I'm not saying that White's are bad, but I find they are not as good as they used to be and I find Nick's are reasonably priced and so far the best quality. You must be getting pretty close to the end of the clearing if you're breaking in your new boots Alex!
That's the stores I can't get out of with nery doller...I've had the Danner quarrys for yrs and there alright but the toe scuffed off in the first 2 weeks

Ah boot shoppin! One of my favorite things to do. Never had a pair of Wescos but I have had Whites and am currently rocking a pair of Hathorns. Theyre great. I wore mine 24/7 and kept soaking them in Obenaufs to get them broken in. You better have some thick wool socks with those ahahaha. Cant wait to see some riggin videos! Take care buddy! Get Some!!! Alex esgate how good are the red dawg caulk boots? I’m interested in getting some for cutting timber here in the east and red dawg use to be the cheapest but now through baileys there $400 not much price difference in the Wescos
Hey Kyler, let me know what you think of the nicks boots. I have been wanting a real pair of boots, but I hear they are kinda hell to break in. If they last it's worth it I guess. Take care and be careful!
Larry Duttry the whites smokejumpers were the first pair I bought back in 2012. I have a couple resoles on them now. Very comfortable and I don't remember the break in being that bad. Took about a week of wearing them to break in. Nicks Hotshot boot I got back in November. They broke in about two weeks. In about a month or so more of wear I feel they will be extremely comfortable. The nicks Hotshot boot is heavier then the whites cause there's an extra layer of leather in the sole. Both the whites and the nicks are their Firefighting boot. The nicks I can't feel sharp rocks as well as heat doesn't come up through them at all
Larry Duttry Whites nowadays aren't made like they used to. I believe they are owned by danner now. I was gonna get another pair of whites but when I went to the shop I saw their quality went way down. Never laid eyes on a pair of wescos. I went with the nicks. Got them custom fitted with the rough out toe vamp and heel. Good lookin boots. I'm gonna have nicks do another resole on my whites. I think they have another year in them before needing to be rebuilt. Nicks offers versions of their boots that are lighter weight as well. The leather is thicker than the white so breakin period will be longer. However I will recommend nicks over whites. Can't say anything about the wescos
that shop is called trouble..............I could spend hours in there like cutters at a saw shop! I wear White's because of the arch support they've got built in helps my back a lot. I've still yet to try but I've heard from many different people to water soak yer boots and wear em till dry for break in
Whites nicks franks Adams and wesco are top notch but danners are great in a pinch! Can’t hate on danners just not as quality as the others but still great I own a pair of all for different jobs , heck even had luck with Chippewa
May seem like a dumb idea but could you maybe do a video on what you wear. I am a cutter and I wear whites, wrangler and hickory striped shirt. Thanks. Stay safe get logs.
west coast logging alex esgate I loaded my first truck today. we had a mule train come out. so I got to load the trailer. the truck went into the ditch just when he was almost all the way down the driveway. I had to bring the skidder down there to tow him out of the ditch and back on the road. be just about rolled the truck.
Great video its amazing how much these things cost I've just brought new boots £168 which to me is a crazy price but then again what price do you put on your feet??? Keep those videos coming. Stay safe friend
