Boots should NOT chase a Bud Crawford fight and should become undisputed at 147 as soon as he can and move up. It never works out for guys who try to chase down a top guy who shows he ain't really interested in a fight. Crawford fan here, I’m not basing it off the Spence fight in the way most may think. How Team Crawford made a game plan to pick apart Spence and out jab him matters regardless of how Bud made Errol look which of course was still impressive.. it’s their Team, the IQ, the experience with the boxing talent that we’ve seen over a period of time…. I want to see Boots vs. Bud and I do feel Bud and his team will pick apart Boots in an exciting action packed fight!

As much as I love Boots’ talent as a fighter, he gets stopped late by Bud if he can’t get the KO. Boots doesn’t pace himself as well and puts so much on every shot that he knocked himself down with a miss against Ava. Bud is a master of pace, on top of stamina and power late, and the most underrated body puncher in boxing. Think it’d be a close fight going into the late rounds but Boots gets caught between overhands with a lead uppercut he doesn’t see (similar to Benavidez and Spence) then the trouble starts.

The difference between Crawford and Spence is that Crawford lives the boxers life. No drinking or smoking and always in shape. Spence like to drink and have fun, which ok if you’re are an music are movie entertainer. If you are an athlete, you body is your temple. This is not just boxing, every athlete gets out what he or she puts in. Boots is young and hungry and anxious to put his talents up against the best. He is no different than any other young fighter. Risk vs Reward is the name of the game in boxing. Not saying that is good for boxing, but that’s what it is. I’m a Crawford fan, but you don’t see Crawford or any other fighters calling out Lara’s name. The high risk low reward comes with fighting him. The Madrimov is a live dog in this fight, but if he can’t deal with Crawford’s craftiness, he’s in for a long fight. I never analyze fights by imagining them in the ring, compare their past opponents to next opponent. If any of Madtrmov’s (I’m saying his name wrong) are similar to Crawford’s skill set then his more prepared, but if those 10 opponents or not in the same universe with Crawford, it will show really early.

They had a fight and it was pretty evident that everyone underestimated how sprcial Roy Jones was. As technically sound, strong, and slick as Toney was..undefeated and all, Roy Jones made a fool out of him. Just saying..... I want the fight, everyone should want it, it's an incredible fight on every conceivable level. That said, I do question if Bud ever takes the fight. Bud is almost 37, wants to unify 54 and get Canelo if possible. I think Bud retires in 18 months, and I doubt the fight makes enough sense to him between now and his retirement. Hope I'm wrong.
