One trick for new players. The first day you spawn turn right around and start swimming to the ship area! I was able to swim there before night fall and spent one night on the beach, Then just walked over to the ship and grabbed the captains holster.

I’ve learned you can create barricades out of fire to keep creatures away..,., possibly large rocks too. You can carve flesh off of bats and the hearts out of dogs. You can also use the sparks from pulling the trigger on the pistol to start a fire (with kindling and wood of course). You can also use coconut husks for kindling. Please keep playing this Wolf, it’s just too fun to watch!
I hope so, its very, very cool. I've sadly never experienced a VR game, but would love to, and would love to experience my own games I've made, in VR, would very interesting. The cheaper VR gets the more it will take over, and as the games get better for it, it'll gain momentum, i know a guy who is VERY exciting with his VR head set, it sounds like its reached a point where its very good. I wonder if Gamestop would let me test it out?...lol, i know that best buy use to, they might have brought it back now that covid is over. I actually was in a Gamestop a couple of days ago and you could play on the playstation 5, so thats definitely a indication that times have changed a lot since the covid restrictions.
you could cook crabs from the start, just spear them, cook and eat, no Need for the knife, otherwise you are doing a better job than any other RU-vidr I've watched
That is actually very correct. I'm currently going through a very hard time. So I bought this game just to get my minds off things and it has helped a lot. Who knew being stuck on a remote island would be good for my mental state :D
You said "death rides a pale horse" and I couldn't help but to remember a book series from my younger days by piers Anthony about the 4 horseman, the one I remember rn of which is called "on a pale horse", but is a series of books in the style of "hitchhikers guide to the galaxy" but is based around the lives of the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse. Given your style and everything id recommend checking them out.
@@tylergully8724 It most likely will at some point, but keep in mind it's meant to be a hyper-realistic survival game. Pretty hard to make it look or function hyper-realistic when Quest Optimization usually ruins some functions of the game. Unless you mean the Oculus App in general, then I have no clue.
Not that you need any help Wolf. But I gotta suggest, when you crack a coconut open hold it on top and bottom with both hands and smack it a couple times lightly against a rock face to save the most water.
I think if you act as if you are wrapping tinder on a stick it would become a torch and if you stab the beasts with a knife when they are dead you take meat
Wolf I think you can make your own bottle. You just poke a hole on that coconut. I think you can drown it in water to store water in it. I don't know if it would work but it would be cool if it did thou. Also try purifying sea water with coconut cups by putting it on or beside the fire to purify sea water. Again, I don't know if it would but do still try it.
to this in real life, you cook the water and use platik on top to catch the steam and let it run into an empty container ... when you cook sea water it leaves the salt. which could be used to preserve meat
I haven't even been watching the visuals. I've been listening to the first 3 episodes and, while it's not exactly "theatre of the mind", it's still a lot of fun and NOW I can watch them, too! Love you. Love your work. Love the effort. PLEASE allow yourself some shits and dammits, at least!!! ;)
I wonder if you could set up a couple fires then move between them or keep the spookies further away. I don't know if there is anything there, but you mentioned a cave system. Any exploration to be found there?
Forgive me if you have already but there is a pirate game called “sail vr” and it’s really cool, you get a ship and a MASSIVE open world with other ships. It’s similar to AC4
They should make it where if you poke the almost out fire with a stick or something that burns it’ll make the fire last slightly longer, the more you poke it the longer it lasts
i am not sure but when he went to the ship wreck there was a rope he climbed to get on then there was a second rope that seemed to go up to the mast at a semi-horizontal angle connected kind of to the first rope

tip numba 1: try some more things for example butchering bats & wolves with a rock (not knife) I'm not sure wether it works but nobody tries it out that i've seen. numba 2: u can probably poke some hole in the coconut with a rock as well. (important: the black spots on one end of the nut are weaker spots which are commonly used to drink out of). tip numba 3: maybe check out those caves you never looked at as far as i've seen. and that's about it honestly.
Wolf this is what you have to do go stay at survive as long stay as long as you can so you can get a musket and then go pass because this stuff after coming soon and was an update and comes I’m pretty sure you already get it cause you’re gone past it
