Bootsy IS a living legend: he helped pioneer a whole new genre, Funk, under The Godfather James Brown. Really good choice for a reaction video.

Bootsy was a member of two or three big groups, including Funkadelic. His punch-heavy bass playing added so much to that oufit's sound. On this track he mixes the electric funk with an odd, light keyboards style that sounds like children's party music. And he offsets that with those mighty wailing backing singers. It's serious fun. I believe he means it this time too. Bootsy has said how Little Richard's music and fearlessness was a major influence. He played in LR's band at one time.

My favorite bass player and Funky son of a gun BOOOOOOTTTTSSSY! He started as James Browns bass player at the age of 17. There's an awesome video of him doing a bass solo for James on stage. Amazing.

This song is the basis of Childish Gambino's "RedBone". It's one of the most sampled songs. You can also hear it in Bone Thugs "Mo Murda"

This Its Bootys Rubber Band. The high voice is his band mate Mudbone. All through the song you hear the famous Space Bass that he's famous for

The female sounding voice is Gary "Mudbone" Cooper, one of the original members of "Bootsy Rubber Band" that started in the early 1970's who is 99% singing on every song made and still performing with the band to this very day despite Bootsy retiring from the road and no longer giving live concerts anymore.

First time I heard this was in a hotel room in Chicago watching Baby Boy 😂😂 Had never heard the song, or seen the film until then. First trip abroad by myself, first time in the States. Great song and a great film. By the way. He was part of Parliment Funkadelic. They had a tune on Menace 2 Society called Atomic Dog.

Yo this channel is definitely underrated like literally 3 months ago she had 10k and now she has 15k she is growing so fast. I wish my channel would grow like that. 😂 But yeah, love the content. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

OK is a live performance of I rather be with you during its heyday. The MC is actually a horn player known as Maceo Parker who was a horn player for James Brown. Guitar is Phelps catfish Collins bootsy's older brother. Another famous name from James Brown's band is Fred Wesley. These guys all left James Brown's band and came over to the Free Leadership of George Clintons Camp.

Bootsy helped out another group (Dee-Lite) in the early 90's. You might check it out "Groove Is In The Heart"- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-etviGf1uWlg.html&pbjreload=101. It's was definitely quite different for the time.

Hello Quay! I started watching reaction videos several months ago and am always watching for your reactions. I like your positive attitude and infectious smile. So here's my first request: St. Paul and the Broken Bones with a song called "Grass Is Greener" from their OurVinyl Sessions. Please do that one when you have a chance. Thanks!
