The female sounding voice is Gary "Mudbone" Cooper, one of the original members of "Bootsy Rubber Band" that started in the early 1970's who is 99% singing on every song made and still performing with the band to this very day despite Bootsy retiring from the road and no longer giving live concerts anymore.

First time I heard this was in a hotel room in Chicago watching Baby Boy 😂😂 Had never heard the song, or seen the film until then. First trip abroad by myself, first time in the States.
