This was one of the few solos Gary Shider ever played. Eddie Hazel says on his album (Games,Dames and Guitar Thangs) that it's Gary. I'm not gonna argue with Eddie Hazel.
I remember taking Stretching Out and The Ohio Player's Contradiction to my first guitar lesson. I told my teacher "I want to learn how to do THIS." He liked it, he smiled and said," O.K. We're going to start you off with the blues." I said," BET... I'm down."
That was a classic Bootsy Collins song. George Clinton had a vision rhat toik him, his band members, and millions.of worshipping p-funk fans to a level that has not been matched in the music industry..
You're most definitely right about that I remember back when I was a kid in the seventies man it used to be exciting to get a new Parliament Funkadelic album I couldn't wait man I miss those days P-FUNK forever🤘
Physical love. Will never grow that's true we will never know true love till we die and be with the Lord rest in peace Connie Cameron i love and miss you . Curtis Blue.
@@imthro1the motherpage said its eddie but the motherpage been wrong on a few occasions it would have helped if eddie and gary and the other musicians did more interviews Yes this is gary on here but hes playing in eddies style
As the gentleman mentioned this is Eddie's work, he wrote the riffs and the others had to learn. Yes this is on Eddie's album also, I enjoy Eddie's album better. Bootsy being the arranger and the funk God is given the ultimate credit, well deserved as that bass guitar gives me life. Wishing all a happy year.
Gary and mike always played in eddies style Eddie came with most of the guitar riffs he recorded lots of tracks and riffs that was later used by gary mike and later byrd recycled a lot of later guitar riffs that the pfunk guitar army used you hear nothing but hazels influence Lige curry made a whole album of covering early funkadelic tunes
That's the point I'm making...he wasn't credited and Bootsy has cleared the record on who played the solo..Eddie also plays on Vanish In Our Sleep...per Bootsy Collins.
Trust me dude. I was there back in the day when they were in their prime. Eddie Hazel re-mixed this tune and over-dubbed his own solo. Oh yeah, I met Gary(RIP),Mike,Billy Bass,Ray Davis and Bootsy (very cool guy).
Gary Shider on guitar! An analogue slap-back tape delay, slowed down for chorus effect. Probably a Cry-baby wah and heavy sustain. Back in the day my first guitar lesson I took this album and the Ohio Players Contradicton. I told my teacher I want to learn THIS !
It's not! This was one of the few solos Gary Shider ever played. Eddie Hazel says on his album (Games,Dames and Guitar Thangs) that it's Gary. I'm not gonna argue with Eddie Hazel.
The old Digitech RP -10 can get the exact same sound on the choruses, when the repeats are turned down. Of course you'd need a wah pedal to complete it. You can also get Drac's solo sound from the song Slide (1977).
Eddie Hazel and Mike Hampton , both bad ass mothas, comparing their musical 🎼 styles you can tell the difference, if you were to ask a woman💃🏿 that 🌹loved/sexed 💋them both,(separately) to share their ahhhh, bed side manners, she would probably say *Mike 🎸always stayed home was very attentive & fu*ked by numbers while Eddie🎸 was a sexual Freak🧟♂️ wanted to pee on me 🌲🐩🐕 and liked to rove* , 🐕such was/is their respective playing styles, i'm sure Eddie could clone🎎 Mikes style if he wanted to, *but Eddie played from his soul ✊🏾and Mike can't clone that try as he might, the best of Kid Funkadelic will always be the best of Kid Funkadelic never Eddie Hazel* …probably more fair to compare Mike to(no disrepect) Drac🎸 of Slave RIP or Ernie Isley🎸 , Jimi's lil -protejae- -protijaye- -protajah- shit, Jimi's lil mentee…🎸 check dis out … ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3XzKKcC7kek.html
I'm totally confused just saw garrett Shider show& mudbone was his guest and garry & eddie was this 75' track & garry did most of other tracks because Catfish had outside issues.
Look on Eddie Hazel's album....the original guitar solo is Gary Shider. The over dubbed solo is Eddie Hazel. If Eddie Hazel was on this album they would've gave credit since he's an orginal Funkadekic (R.I.P.)
