Watch us as we hike and ski Borah Peak, the highest mountain in Idaho. This episode is full of drama as we started out as 5 but only 3 of us ended up getting to the top. We choose to climb up Mt. Borah via the Chicken Out Ridge route which is steep and intimidating, as it causes hikers to chicken out once they see the potential dangers that lurk ahead.

The snow was not that great for the ski down. I was exhausted when I got to the top of Borah, so skiing down was stop and go the whole way. The Chicken Out Ridge route is pretty straight forward. We were able to follow the ridge the entire way except for that one part where we downclimbed and then got back on the ridge. This was a successful trip and I am glad we all made it down safe. Big Thanks to Joel Salvino, Noah McCallister, Tim White, and Alec Whitney for joining.

This video was awesome, fantastic job! I skied the north face of Borah solo in July of 1999. It was incredibly sketchy that time of year, particularly downclimbing the cliff-out at the head of Rock Creek drainage. The bushwhack out of Rock Creek with skis on the pack was a living hell, and I remember taking a nap part way out from utter exhaustion. Looking back to those days, I’m amazed I survived that 18 hour trip. To this day it was the hardest thing I’ve done.

That looked like a pretty technical top. I think I would have chickened out. Give me bare rock and I'll scale anything, but all that snow makes me nervous!

Thanks Jay Junk! For this one I believe I was using the GoPro Hero 5. Joel was using another camera for his footage, but I don't know what he was using.

When did you do this hike? I’m hoping to do it but not sure if January is a good time to make the hike.

Based on how dry the bottom is, and the potential avalanche hazards, this was surely done in late Spring. Looks like March or April to me.

I’m glad you asked. Before winter hits I have another chill hop mix coming out, Castle Peak ski, Mt. Rainier failed summit attempt, and then I want to put together more relaxing edits, similar to the one I made of me in the South Fork, no music, no talking, just footage of hiking, scenery, and skiing. I’ve been MIA this whole summer because I’ve been on orders with the Air Guard. I’m excited to get home. What about you? What kind of content would you like to see me create?
