Saw the thumbnail and thought it was a cute picture of someone's dog. And then I read the title and realized it was felt. Had to come watch you create this wonderful doggo. Amazing job.
I've rarely seen fiber artist approach sculpting just like a classically trained sculptor. From carefully studying the structure and anatomy and layering these, to honing a variety of separate skills with techniques and tools to create a finished piece, this is by far the best example of hyper realistic felting a dog I've seen! I appreciate the countless hours and the experience gone into this piece. You can teach many things except the ability to perceive with the human eye, what is really, in fact, there. That's a talent that takes much experience to refine to this level. Astounding work! 👌😍
This video has helped me a bit out on what to do next time I'm needle felting and sculpting. Before this video, I am very much one or more steps before this level. I'm still learning and nobody ever really stops learning as everyone improves. I've been using the armature wire, eyes and some sewing incorporated. Barely started to use scissors for the felted before discovering this video. Never seen anyone mark out the spots which... That there could be helpful to me. Thank you for this video being shared with everyone here.

Oh my goodness, how gorgeous! My girl's a Birder Collie, so this is extra cool to me lol. I appreciate that you didn't do the breed standard black and white coat, too! Don't get my wrong, the black and white is beautiful, but it's always nice to see the other types of coats the breed has be represented!

🐕 Your attention to detail is phenomenal ! I have to tell you that your creation looks much like the best friend I ever had. Blue was a red merle mini Australian Shepherd, but with a bobbed tail. He was with me every day of the last 14.5 years, and I am still grieving so deeply. I can't touch him anymore, or look into his beautiful bi-colour eyes, feel his heart beat, or fall asleep holding him at my side ever again. I wish I could hire you to make me a little "Blue". 🐕
