Finally someone who knows how to explain in clear way! the best tutorial I 've ever watched for any kind of boss in BL2. Although I can speak several language, english is not my "best" one but yours instructions has been so easy and the speech has been so understood, that subtitles wasn't unnecessary. Best vid that I've seen on Pete. Few mention taking out his helmet. I was able to beat him by staying up on the ledge even when he jumped up. I just hid behind beam when he'd do his Novas. Peak out and blast away. Just don't use your 'Storm Front' Shock grenades up there. Lol. One more thing, Pete did jump back down once, Total surprise there.

I'm able to fight Pete and stay alive for a reasonable length of time, however my weapons can barely dent his shields let alone anything else. I see this again and again in these tutorials. The person doing this clearly has weapons I can only dream about.

I am been farming Pyro Pete the Ultra Invincible the below list are my Confirm Drop’s when I am Farming Pyro pete . (playing on PS3) 100+ Run that i have as of now. [Legendary Drops]: The Bee, the Sham, the Cradle, The Impeller, Gunzerker MOD, Mecromancher MOD, Assassin Mod, Soldier Mod, Pysco Mod, Siren Mod, Bunny Granade, Leech, Quassqar, home front, Tunderball, Hellfire, baby maker, Shreddifier , Flanker, Madhouse, Fasst ball, and E-Tech's (and trying the Northfleets many saying all seraph Guardian can drop it) maybe more lots more XD My first Double Drop Legendary (pyro pete) : The Bee and Hellfire [Seraphs]: Hoptile, Blaster, 0-Negative Then this weapon class SHOCKS me when Pyro Pete drop PEARLs!!!!!!! this is a great video. And idk if they buffed him but when u first ht level 50 and are in uvhm he's pretty damn hard after the mission version of him. I put 1200 Sandhawk rounds into him with a 49 bee and his shield was only half down. I'm glad to know about this trespasser trick and will use it.
A bloodsplosion ,mania krieg can constantly hit damage cap when u fight pyro pete effectively one shotting him.Go for the rats and make sure u have pete slagged.Then slag a rat or two and when they all drop from the pipe just hit 1 of them and the rest is history as long as pete is actually close enough to get the dmg ;)
Gaige dosen't need trespaser her shock will drain boss enemies shield in 2 - 3 shots Body shot pete with shock akurate bone shredder . There is another glitch but only with gaige while deathtrap is out pete will constatly attack deathtrap and you can attack pete with sniper or smg. If high points cooking up trouble prefrebly 9 - 11 just run around with loaded weapon don't forget ammo should be full until deathtrap comes back
So, I’m on xbox one. I did this strategy and I was able to jump onto the ledge 3 times in a row. However, I wasn’t able to do it again after that. I tried grenade jumping and that still didn’t work.f finally, I even tried rocket jumping. Does anybody know why I can’t jump anymore?
FOR HIGHER THAN 60 FPS PLAYERS. The Pillar has a 144+ Hz bug and need to switch out the FPS values to 60 fps and then back to your original values. You're welcome :)
i would just grenade jump between the pillars and you're up there 'with the jump in the corner and hit spacebar as fast as you can i was never able to get up there...

HellsIrony101 I'm not sure. I've never used it but from everything I've read and heard, the Sand Hawk is considered one of the best if not the best SMG in the game. The only downside is that you have to dashboard farm with two people if you want multiple copies.

So I was trying to beat him at level 68 and I didn't use the tresspasser. This guy is such a bullet sponge. Does he having no helmet affect his shield?
***** The only benefit to knocking off his helmet right away is so you can get critical hits. When his helmet is on, you cannot critical hit. Being able to get critical hits will help you take his shield down much faster.
A B1TCH also works well, same with a florentine. If you don't mind a slight time increase you can use an infinity if you're low on ammo, always a good back up plan.
maybe he's a lot harder at lvl 72 but at level 50 i killed him so easily with no glitches, just mechromancer and torgue weapons. especially that legendary torgue pistol + anarchy stacks :)
Great guide. Shame that he literally drops sht other than vehicle costumes. After killing him kill your self, if you save and exit you’ll have to pay eridium again

I've yet to start Mr. Torque's DLC, so I'm wondering do I have to be in 'Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode' to take advantage of farming Pyro Pete The Invincible? I'm asking because I've seen other videos where you don't have to be at UVH mode.

Wow, it worked. Nice to know about the ledge jumping. However it took me 15 minutes in level 72 and about 45 in op4, with a op4 harold and a 72 bee, I'll need to get a trespasser and a better bee. Coincidentally, he left 9 crystals in 72 and only 7 in op4.
READ ME JAKE: hey bro its tony and david!! u know friends with eric. i miss him... anyway theres a WWAAAYYY easier way to farm pyro pete. we killed him in about 20 seconds without glitching. just slag him and use the Storm Front legendary grenade mod. as far as i can tell we r the first to use this method and its the fastest byfar.
btw: we were on UVH and u should really try it. this info should boost ur views ^_^ oh and considering ur a gunzerker it should go even faster with the double your fun skill.
if you're gunzerker you'll need three weapons, electric sandhawk, slagga, nukem. get any class mod that gives +6 moneyshot. get the bee. when you summon pyro pete quickly run to the spiderant valve, as your running to it use the slagga on pyro, summon the spiderants and use the nukem on the first spiderant. using the nukem with the "overkill" perk will add a few million damage to your weapons for awhile. spray the sandhawk at pyro pete, the 880% from money shot is what will do most of the damage, along with the 3x damage from slag. (one burst usually takes his shields down along with like 15% health) if you do this quick enough the time you opened the valve the water will still be running and you can run under. repeat the process od slaggin him,killing the spiderants, and bursting him. he should be dead in 3 total burst.
Just on the off chance someone like me is here and new, let me clear something up: when the veterans say "seraph stuff is UVHM only", what they mean is "you can get this stuff on true vault hunter, but it won't be good for long". So keep this In mind before calling them liers.

I thought the Trespasser allowed you to bypass shields and damage enemy health directly. So can't you just use the Trespasser to kill Pete without bothering with his shield? Or is Pete unique somehow?
Do you have to have Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode unlocked to farm him? Because when I went to start farming him, the button that calls him in isn't even there?
I didn't think this was going to work but it after 5 trys but I had to change some of my weapons I used a infinity electric pistol with bee shield that help thank
Tip 1: have a moxxi weapon. The fire or acid does expire, but it takes about 3 minutes or so. This can be useful if you get hit with either fire or acid, but it is useless when hit with both. Doing this means the pests that come out of the sewers dont level up as fast, Just slag pete and use a moxxie weapon, like the kitten since it is a fast fire rate means you can reheal quickly Tip2: When he is facing the pipe on the left he stands there for a few seconds which means you can put alot of bullets into his head, you just need to pay attention to his nova blasts
Joe Sherman That's what I do lol. I use a shock interfacer and a slag interfacer. I even sometimes use 2 shock interfacers and a magic missile grenade.

U should redo ur wildlife explotion preserve loot midgets I went on and I killed blood wing I still farm them it is du to the slag notes and u need to kill all enemys or they won't spawn

The best way to kill pete easily is to use zero and critical ascension, i prefer the lyuda or white death depending on what system but any vladof sniper will do, use the shock variation so that way you can use the bone of the ancients and get the 40+% cooldown rate boost and the multiplicative shock boost. the reason why you use a bone rather than an aggression relic is because the relic gives a flat boost. say you have 100 stacks of critical ascension that's a 500% base damage boost and a 600% critical damage boost, using a aggression relic of say 35% would give you 535% opposed to a shock bone at 35% which would give about 675% base damage boost because the way the game's damage equation works. A chaotic neutral rogue com gives a large fire rate boost so it's good for using critical ascension most efficiently. Using the critical ascension technique you can beat him without using the glitch if you dodge the nova's using the scaffolding by one of the ammo stations. That or use salvatore and money shot his face off.
I just want to say thanks this helps but if you have the Hawkeye, Skullsmasher, and the tresspasser and merge it with the shock sand hawk it would take his health down quick also quick note for the Skullsmasher and the tresspasser is get the tumtum prefix for the 180 critical hit damage
The reasons i farm pete is because krieg and DESTROY pete w/ bloodsplosion, and also because he is the only good way to get legendries with krieg part from midgets, but yknow.... Stalkers....
I farmed this guy for days looking for the legendary hunter class mod for zero with no luck. Ive read his drop rate is good but i wonder if they changed it? All he has dropped for me is seraph grenades and shields.
it's very helpful video, but since i don't have a shock sandhawk i use shock baby maker which is awesome too. you've earned a new subscriber by the way ;)

fwiw, any non elemental infinity pistol and a good bee shield will shorten this fight a great deal, and avoid the problem with running out of ammo. a rapid infinity pistol is best. strip his shields with an electric artifact and any electric gun (binary thunder fists works great), then pop off his helmet, slag, and go to town with the infinity and bee and pistol damage relic. easy crystal farm.
antonin116 Thank you! You cannot get a Norfleet from Pyro Pete. You can get one from Hyperius or Vermivorous. But you're much better off trying to get it from Vermivorous because they fixed it's drop rates.
when pete jumps up, you jump DOWN. pete is then stuck on the ledge, walking back and forth. you hide behind the pillars when he blows off fire and acid, then shoot him from close range until he dies. ammo is nearby
and if i dont have the trespasser anymore becuase it thought it was useless? i am playing in 2016 and want to get into solo raiding (Gaige lvl72 no op levels) right now i cannot even beat teramporhus with anarchy 400 because his dmg still fucks me
