The hide of terra works best on krieg imo. His high recharge delay keeps the HoT from recharging enough that in a firefight, it'll be constantly down giving you roid damage greater than the love thumper. Plus, if you play coop, you won't have to worry about the love thumper's explosive nova killing your teammates.
if specced right you can speed up the Buzz Axe Rampage cooldown while taking the extra damage. You can go into BUZZAR and just get max health again by killing someone. With Light The Fuse and the skill that boosts explosive damage you can second wind easily. It's only enemies that throw projectiles like the Hunters in Sir Hammerlock's DLC that become annoying as it counts as melee damage.
i fucking love this thing, it destroys on zero. Also quick tip guys: Try to get a elemental resistant Love Thumper, doesn't matter which one, it will have more maliwan parts and more maliwan parts means more roid damage! It's true!

I actually had the love thumper with kreig who is on the mania skill tree and i also got him to go to bombardier so now he is a non stop badass psycho who melee explodes and throws explosive buzzaxes and expoldes around him also can easily get his health get his health below 30 percent so he can go badass so yeah that is awesome bosses

Highest Love Thumper has 150k roid damage. With Zero the Love Thumper would be most useful because in deception your not really taking constantly damage to keep shields down. With Krieg Mania and Hellborn with maybe a couple in Bloodlust using the Hide of Terra is most useful because Kriegs skills can make any shield have at least a 14-16 recharge delay and since he is always taking damage this makes the Hide more useful not only for huge bonuses but it can have about 212k roid damage... IMO
hey i use the love thumper not because of the damage (it has been proven that krieg could solo any mob area with a rolled up news paper anyway) but because it makes meleeing things feel epic "you punch things and they EXPLODE"
There is so much wrong with this video, gaige would make shit use of this shield because death trap's explosive novas would kill the player. This is the best mobbing shield for a melee zero but a high level rapier would not increase the melee bonus as it's always 200%. I've killed raid bosses countless times with zero and lots of times I find myself using a low level rapier as it does not matter. He also claims its great with a strength relic but they are next to useless in zero's melee formula, you're better off using a bone of the ancients which has a action skill cooldown which allows you to say in deception much more often which allows for more execute which makes melee damage significantly higher. If he's going to talk about a character and how it's useful can he at least know what he's saying and not spout useless bullshit. Also a high recharge delay on your shield is amazing as it requires much less micro managing making it amazing for mobbing with damage rivalling the hide of Terramorphus. Don't even bother saying "having a high recharge delay will get you killed because you have no shield so all damage is taken directly to your health". If you've played melee zero for once in your life you'd know that there are sources of instantly regaining your health and with health gating physics as long as you regenerate your health via transfusions or a rubi/grog nozzle with a chain lightning or using the gun to melee before you get hit again you'll survive no matter the outcome.

i also got an op8 inflammable love thumper took me to two days to get, almost kept the second grounded i got and bam right after the grounded i got the 1327112 rood inflammable. its good to add that in party it kill friends with the nova
U guys wanna get a love thumper with a prefix but it has to have the prefix that makes it immune to a certain element, because it makes it have the highest raid damage, mine has 6 digits instead of 5 at lvl 61
sorry mate but there is. i even took a picture for the highest one that drop for me and i saw 3 inflammable but they had like 93k,106k and 114k roid dmg so i didnt take them im now in my 500ish tries . i know it sux being Zero in this game every other class has better survivability than you in UVHM i just want this so i can go and play the only class and fighting style i like in this game .
do you not understand the fact that only certain side missions give unique items as rewards and some only give money, eridium and white/green loot? because I have said that twice before now. and you cant just restart the main quest chain. also there is only one enemy in the game that you cannot farm and that is the bag man from the gang wars side quest chain. and the unique shield he can drop is meh anyway. but every other enemy in the game you can farm as long as you have done their quest.
you don't have to restart it if you just only accept quests that give green level or lower quest rewards because those are never unique and usually aren't very good. then after you complete the main quest chain and a few side quests that give out non unique items then you should be level 61 and then if you just accept and do all of the quests that give all the neat loots you can get all the rewards as level 61 items.
The races in playthrough 1 at level 3 in the badass crater level at 61. Sucks for the bar fight, but lower than level 50 you get 16,000 xp each race. I do it split screen. You get 600 tokens pretty fast. And in playthrough 2 whatever level you start a mission on will be the vending machine level. Or after you beat Jack it will level out. The Harold is easy to get. I love that gun
No, Even when you beat the warrior and finish the mode, you're not able to re-start any quests you've already finished. If you've got the flame of the firehawk already at the start of playthrough 3, you will not be able to get the level 61 shield through any means other than trading/editing. The same goes for any unique quest rewards.
Get a rubi with a knife on it with Zero and you get healed by the rubi because of the explosions it is not that bad for kreig by I the a firewall and orphan maker is better because your sheild is down but there is always a nova with this there's only a nova when you hit someone also kreig has mostly fire damage not explosive
I have used the looooove thumper for Kriegs' mania tree in playthough 1 and it's fooking awesome I defo want it at lvl 61 so I can reck face. Another shield you could use for the mania tree is and don't hate me for saying it is the Cradle but only if you have points in strip the flesh as it increases explosive damage. I have tried it with a lvl 16 and it did good damage

I'm atm in my 160th try to get the "Inflammable Love Thumper" with 150,000+ Roid DMG. The chance from what I saw is less than 0.2% and I saw one with 130k ones but the 150k is the best one so wish me luck it might take a week b4 I give up. I hope it drops for me 2day
Ive found a glitch or something and its pretty funny :P Use the Love Thumper and deplete the shield. Then jump into a bandit technical with bladethrower and when it hits enemies therell be an explosion around the car :D Thumbs up so people can see this glitch thing
I'm guessing it has something to do with how buggy item selecting is on PC. It feels like 3 out of 4 times when I'm trying to select items in my inventory I get bugged out and have to re enter my inventory multiple times to select items. You can hear Yote complain about this often.
the hide of terramorphous has way more roid damage than this and the novas do like no damage so I would go with that for krieg. I have used a level 50 hide all the way through the third playthrough and I have beaten the main quest with my krieg, he is now level 59.
pls help me. im playing as krieg with maxed bloodlust and mania tree. i am using the love thumper and rapier. every time i hit someone and the explosion goes off my friend gets hurt by it. is this due to the love thumper or is it a skill or gun i am using?
I got this shield with a key code, lvl 45 for krieg, and its great when you have a group in front of you, but if the enemies are spread out more, you end up dying a lot, because you never have this shield up , so your health really gets taken out fast.
weapons with melee attachments don't seem to work so well with Krieg. He gets additional melee damage every time he lvls up but melee attachments override this bonus. so at a certain lvl, weapons with melee attachments actually make Krieg's melee weaker.
So yote I literally when posting this comment completed this quest and I got the grounded love thumper and it say it grants immunity to electrocution. I'm in ps3 if anybody wants it roid damage is 100971 idk if thats good or bad.

It is possible to get an inflammable/grounded/alkaline version of the love thumper. These versions have massively increased roid damage, but lower capacity. I believe my grounded love thumper has a roid damage of +150k or something like that.
he has a gaming channel not a zombie channel. he gained a ton of subs through borderlands. he is by far the number 1 source of borderlands 2 on you tube. i love zombies too but borderlands gives alot more options to make videos out of the zombies
the main quest chain never gives unique weapons specifically so that if you do not accept any side missions that do give unique weapons as rewards until you are level 61 then all of those quests and their rewards will all be level 61 as well.
do the optional Message In a Bottle missions that are throughout Captain Scarlett's DLC. One of the Rewards is the Rapier. It gives 200% (you will do three times the damage) melee but makes you more vulnerable to melee yourself.
The problem with bladed weapons with krieg, is that once he reaches level 44, 50% melee bladed weapons will lower his melee damage. But does his natural boost at level 61 apply to the road damage? PREAZE help.
The only problem is I think there's a glitch that when you go into krieg's rage mode you lose the boost from the law or the rapier and there's a glitch that round damage doesn't add into the buzz axe attacks either

true. and with krieg and the right build you can rack up absolutely insane amounts of melee damage. I have gotten over 10 million melee damage in a single hit because critical, the enemy was weak to melee and he was slagged.

The only problem I have with the LT is it damages teammates. I down them a lot. I use the 419k flame and x4 Rustlers Orphan Maker. I think that or the plasma caster explosive build is best for Krieg.

Also yote, there are different versions. I have an Alkaline Love Thumper at the moment, but I also prefer the rough rider for the Empty the Rage skill buffs you get from having 0 shield all the time.
You can farm this by completing the mission up til you have to turn in. Then just dashboard to try again because it can have up to 150000 roid damage and can be immune to elements. Mine has like 110000 roid damage. But ppl on gearbox forums say it can reach 150k. This shield is also badass because it has no legendary parts but it looks like a legendary.
Oh really? my apologies I thought seeing as you dropped the Rapier as soon as you earned it you didn't like cursed weaponry after the experience with the other ones. In that case I could not recommend the Rapier enough, with the right investment in Krieg's skills and a good Maylay shield, you pretty much have no more need of bullets.

bordelands issued a shift code not too long ago that gave you rhe love thumper that was of the same lvl as the character that you logged in on, so i was given a lvl 61 version =D
do you need the loot for money or a higher level character? Besides caning your level 27 character, you won't be able to use any of the loot Terramorphous drops as it will be 50+.

You don't take any damage from the novas them selves but one thing to be weary of when using this are explosive barrels. Especially slag barrels when in mid combat.
i have tried sir hammerlocks dlc and it has a start level of about 31 to start with and its orsom i think i can reach close to level 40 before i have to start my 2 play
neet glitch with the redeem the soul skill and the rough rider shield. if you have the rough rider on negates 20% of the damage so instead of downing you you only lose 80%of your current heath. letting you go strait into release the beast.
Farming is so annoying... I farmed for The Bee like 15 hours and finally I got it. The Infinity has a really low drop rate but I got it after my 6th try. But as I farmed a second one guess what happened...after 6 hours I still don't have it :D

when you kill the warrior in UVHM are you able to restart UVHM and get unique weapons over and over?(by unique I mean quest rewards and bosses that you can't farm)
