Borderlands 2: Patched Chere-amie- Does it still suck?

In this video, we will be looking at the Chere-amie. Like many other weapons, this one received a substantial boost as a part of the community patch. It had it's barrel changed to a Maliwan barrel, and it now has splash damage. The healing rates have also been adjusted.
This is a Moxxi weapon, and it is Maliwan branded. It provides healing and always comes in an element.
This weapon is rewarded to the player after finishing the last round of Hyperion Slaughter, located off of the Eridium Blight.

They should put you in BL3 as a salesman that works for Marcus. Or a pawn shop and you critique the weapons people bring to you.

Also carry a mission to collect parts for a gun, like in BL1. Except make the player choose between a sniper rifle, shotgun, or smg.

I've found this patched version to be great for Raiding. With a modest stack count, it can get you above health gate with a non-critical hit, so long as you are matching elements. It's nice to have access to a Moxxi weapon whilst maintaining CA.

I actually like the Hyperion barrel and would rather they'd kept it. Considering it's the barrel no one ever wants to use, as it's generally pretty bad for snipers I think it was a refreshing unique detail to this weapon, in terms of looks

effectively "Chère-Amie" mean "Dear Friend" but the word "Amie" (with an "e" at the end ) mean the friend in question is a woman. And the red text "Je suis enchanté.Où est la bibliothèque?" mean "I'm delighted. Where's the library?"

With the patch the four weapons I use on sniper zero has completely changed. Now I use corrosive/fire pimpernel depending on the area, a slag dear friend, gentleman's storm and a fire/corrosive lyuda

I love how you can play a game that has aged so well. I remeber you saying you were taking a break a long time ago. I get the feeling that after a break its fun again and man everyone just loves some luke. Bc of your vids i started making my own style of critical zer0's. I have a couple different zero snipers that have their own play styles and gear needed. thanks man. Cant wait for ManofLowMoralFiber on BL3, you have such a strong group of people that love your content, im stoked for it honestly.

Chere-amie is a nice weapon to take with I found, at times I will swap it out for a slaga or grog, but it's a handy gap filler if tight on slots

I am not much of a sniper zer0 player, more of a shotgun guy myself, but if I were to fully commit to critical ascension, I would definitely use one of these guys as my slag weapon of choice. Might even be able to use it against the last enemy in a mob to farm some stacks, similar to how you use your low level droog.

Gonna be honest here; no unique in the game it's barrel actually affect its stats like the actual barrel does. It's just a model. ex; A butcher does not have Torgue Stats on it's barrel, but it has different stats to make it better.

MikeyXV but it does. In the code of the game, the barrel will give a certain boost on the weapon. Now for the butcher, and other unique shotguns, having a torgue barrel doesn't always result in the torgue barrel effect, but for most other unique weapons, the barrel does matter, even if preset.

Hey Molmf, would you consider playing some more melee Krieg now that the random aspect of Silent The Voices doesn't exist anymore with the new patch? I remember that you hated playing Krieg due to the chances of hitting yourself in the head and going instantly into fight for your life mode.

I think even with the improvement, i'd still use the Snider over this Sniper. Rather than trying to heal with a Sniper rifle, just simply trying not to get hit by killing enemies first is a more fun Sniper playstyle for me, considering this game (and especially its OP levels) greatly rewards fast-paced Sniper gameplay.

Maybe check out Warframe, Luke. It's a very solid game and it'd be cool to see your commentary on it. Raycevick, Skill Up and Totalbiscuit (TB has multiple vids on it. Watch the one titled "Relapse") have done great videos on the game. After being burnt out on BL2 a couple years ago, I tried it and was immediately hooked.

Overpowered. Needs a little less healing for sure. Sniper zer0 especially already gets hit way less because he can be at a range. The quasar makes it so easy to heal as well and get b0res

Yea, either i suck at borderlands 2, or i only get enemy's with fucking op weapons. And i noticed that alot more of them have been spawning with assult rifles with the tourge barrel. They got a buff in the patch and i die in like 3 shots now

i am on ucp 4.0.17, patched the game, "activated" the buy ammo in one option, saved it as offline and normal patch, activate it in game, get the notification that its activated but can buy all missing ammo in 1 click. any idea on how to fix that?

If done correctly with the filtertool, and saved/named correctly it should definitely work. If redoing that still doesn't fix it. Try deleting it and regrabbing it from github. Also check that it's not set to "read-only". I've had some weird instances where .txt files were set to that for no apparent reason.

Ya I gotcha.... Just seems like the optional change you're adding with the filtertool is not "sticking". Doing shit from scratch sometimes is just more effective than troubleshooting =P

You get it from completing round 5 of the Hyperion slaughter in the ore chasm. Go to eridium blight to find it.

Jace Noeldner He explained why he chooses Loaders. They're more well developed on goes they're more tanky and has more HP. And they're basically the most popular enemy that you'll find. Also they help with weapons with weird projectile patterns because they're kinda wide.
