Late, but Electric Chair is great for getting those bloodlust stacks up on top of stripping shields and it’s an easy farm too. Nice video btw, Krieg is definitely fun asf
Oh absolutely! It's better than the storm front 100%. Literally the only reason I don't use it more often is it because it will straight up crash my game. 😂 It's a very buggy grenade.
No problem! I'll probably do some other Krieg builds as well. This one has less sustain than most Krieg builds but highest DPS. I'll try to post a notification or something when I go live here!
Yea.... Unfortunately, that's the staple of like every Krieg build. Hellborn tends to add some serious clutter to the screen. Thanks for watching though!
hi, don't know if you still play but was wondering how i should run hellborn krieg in leveling. because im level 52 in first time UVHM and finding it difficult to do survive and kill everything at the same time
Not in particular, University just started back so things will be a little hectic. For the most part, it will probably be weeknights-weekends around 9-10 EST until I decide to stop.
It's just a tubby drop, so it's fairly rare. Tubbies have a pretty large drop pool so not only do you need to get lucky enough for a reaper drop, you also need the luck for a perfect one... It can definitely take a while.
You need to use a low level pandemic. No reason to use the OP 10 variant when you're only using it to stack bloodlust and proc Delusional Damage to light yourself on fire. The damage against OP 10 enemies is nominal but the damage against yourself can sometimes down you as happens in the video. Same with the Slagga. I use a Slagga I got at level 19 because the slag chance and firerate are the same but fighting against enemies with deflect bullet chance won't instantly down you if they reflect a shot back. I use only a OP 10 Peak Opener and Interfacer.
Yea I am aware of the pandemic and slagga and using them at low level but I just don't really care that much tbh. I usually use Gibbed to make these videos and I sync all the levels to max so it's a pain to individually change the levels (or I just forget). It can kill you sometimes but generally not a huge deal for me.
I'm very new to Krieg, so I've been trying out some of your builds the past few days to see how I fare. One thing is certain: I hate melee Krieg with a passion. The visual clutter is unbearable, StV makes it ten times worse, and thus, in practice, I spend almost all of my time squinting my eyes trying to *see* rather than actually fighting or doing anything I recognize as skillful. Many people think differently, but so it goes. Melee Krieg, to me, is boring and gives me a headache. Which brings me to this build. I like this one better than the explosive build simply because it feels more powerful and seems to allow a bit more variety as far as weapons go. Still, I'm finding it difficult to have fun with it. I suppose, to this point, my intuition was right that I wouldn't enjoy Krieg all that much, since, despite not liking his melee builds, I also don't like explosive/Torgue-type weapons. I keep trying to find ways to integrate weapons I like using into this build, but it doesn't work all that well because, unsurprisingly, they don't proc BB reliably (if at all). I don't have a Carnage, I hate the KerBlaster, I hate the Swordsplosion (and its Unicorn variant), DPUHs are boring, I don't care for the Hail, and... well... the Peak Opener is tolerable, but it chews through ammo. So much is to say I'm having real trouble finding a loadout for some sort of "gun Krieg" that I find enjoyable to work with. I'm also having difficulty finding grenades that I enjoy using. Yikes. I keep returning to the Pandemic because of its ability to proc BB, but I end up catching DOTs from it about 70% of the time, which, again, gets very annoying, very fast. I've tried the Fire Bee, which usually downs me (I assumed Krieg's fire resistance would help with the DOTs, but I'm not noticing any difference. He goes down just as much as with the Pandemic. I must be misunderstanding how some of these elemental damage reductions work with Krieg.) I've tried Storm Fronts, with similar effects. The only grenades that don't destroy me regularly are slag grenades, like the O-Neg, which I've been using just faute de mieux. Finally, I'm finding it harder to set myself on fire than I though it would be, and when he does set on fire, it doesn't last long at all. Is that all just up to chance? Regardless, this is not a knock on your builds. They're all fine. I'm just surprised at how much I dislike playing as Krieg. I thought I would dislike Gaige much more than Krieg because of Anarchy and the overall derpiness of DT, but I took to her quickly and really enjoy playing with your elemental build. Krieg... I have yet to find a build I enjoy. But if I had to pick one, it would be this one. EDIT: Almost forgot - the cooldown on his action skill is utterly absurd, and, unless I'm mistaken, renders it pretty much entirely useless without RtB. Am I missing something? Where are the cooldown reductions? Anywhere? Just relics?
I am sort of indifferent about melee Krieg but I definitely enjoy gun-based Krieg even with the horrible clutter. UCP helps mitigate that problem significantly which also helps a lot. As for some weapon alternatives to those, Plasma Casters work well (especially the tediore ones, you can chuck them for insane damage), Baby Maker is good for the same reason, Hellfire, Hornet, Standard blue Ravager shotgun, Teeth of Terra, Kitten, Pimpernel, Thunderball Fists, Interfacer, Heartbreaker, and of course more. Maybe check out this post for some options that may catch your eye: forums.gearboxsoftware.com/t/the-new-top-gear-for-krieg/1119575 Grenades are a tough one for me as well. The pandemic usually ends up hurting me as well but it gives me enough bloodlust to work with that I don't usually end up killing myself. That grenade seeks out people so you can throw it a lot further away from yourself and enemies than you might think. O-neg could honestly work fine or just roll the Fastball, Krieg can pump up its damage significantly. I wouldn't say it is necessarily up to chance. Obviously using elemental weapons will help but usually, the pandemic does the trick for me. If you are using the O-neg a lot then I could see why it would be a problem. If you are gonna use a non-bloodlust stacking grenade I would definitely recommend putting points into Flame Flare. Overall, you may just not enjoy Krieg fundamentally and there is not really anything wrong with that. I don't really enjoy Salvador but tons of other people do. Sometimes that's just how it is! As for his action skill, I know there is one skill in the green tree that increases the duration of it for every kill you get. Some use that in the early game before they get to RtB. Some even use it with RtB. That is about it though lol.
@@squeekcheesetaker6593 Good stuff. I'm gonna work some more on finding specific loadouts that work with this build, and I will look into Flame Flare in combo with the O-Neg., which I am liking, for better or worse. Thanks for the tips.
@@everythingflows3196 Sounds good to me! The best way to find out is through experimentation (: . Let me know how it goes, I am interested to see if you can find something that fits your style.
@@squeekcheesetaker6593 i can shoot foreever and nothing will get slaged im runing bl2 fix commander mod and ucp are the main mods and it is only when i used ucp
If you're running BL2 fix + UCP then that's probably why. There is a guide on the Nexus mod page that shows what needs to enabled/disabled to make them work together. I can link you to it later if you can't find it
